Very true, however, when my son was 5 yrs old he held a flag at a parade and it touched the ground which I told him it is not nice or respectful. I taught him to respect our flag and country , and today he is a very community minded patriotic citizen, a policeman in fact.
So some of what we teach our children does sink in believe it or not. Just as this boy of 8 is being "told" he too will follow what he is being "told". Sorry to say.
