Since those days, the vast majority of Christians have always met to worship on the Lord's day. They do this in honor of the resurrection of their Savior. Christ was in the tomb during the sabbath, and rose as the firstborn from the dead on the first day. The sabbath signifies the last day of the old creation (Ge. 2:2). Sunday is the first day of the new creation

So If I understand correctly, most Christians have replaced the Sabbath with a "Day of the Lord"?

This brings me to another huge question....aren't we supposed to follow the ten commandments? And if the 10 commandments say that we need to keep a 7th day Sabbath, aren't we disobeying God by not doing it?

The 10 Commandments were given to Israel. From the Jewish perspective, they are not binding on non-Jews. Jews believe that gentiles are under the Covenant of Noah, which are seven commandments from the Hebrew scriptures (particularly Genesis Chapter 9) which are binding on all mankind. They are:

1) to establish courts of justice
2) not to commit blasphemy
3) not to commit idolatry
4) not to commit incest and adultery
5) not to commit bloodshed
6) not to commit robbery
7) not to eat flesh cut from a living animal

Are you a Jew? If so, then the Ten Commandments would apply to you BEFORE you are born again, but once you are born again, you are freed from the Law, because Jesus paid the penalty for sin under the Law. When you are in Christ, you have passed from death to life, and are no longer under the Law, being dead with Christ. The Law has no hold on a dead man. You are alive in Christ, and freed from the law of sin and death.

Now, if you are a Gentile, then you never were under the Law, because the Law was only given to the Jews. However, even though not all men were under the Law, all suffer the penalty of death for sin, because that penalty, resulting from sin, precedes the Law. Jesus paid that price, thereby allowing Gentiles to enter in to God's family. Once again, if you are born again, you are dead as far as the penalty for sin, but alive in Christ. That is why Christ said that to enter the Kingdom of heaven, you must be born again.
