YONKERS - A bizarre accident at Westchester County Airport involved Senator Hillary Clinton's entourage Sunday.
Sources tell News 12 Westchester that a vehicle in Senator Clinton's security team tried to bypass a mandatory check point at the airport, which has been under a heightened state of alert since the terrorist attacks. A county police officer attempting to stop the vehicle from getting through injured his shoulder. That officer was taken to Saint Agnes Hospital in White Plains, and his condition is not known.
Senator Clinton, who turned 54 Sunday, was en route to board a private jet to an unreleased destination. The former first lady could not be reached for comment.
Who was giving her a ride on a private jet. Should not this be declared as a gift according to Senate rules?

in our forum DOES NOT WORK. Odd.
I wonder if they are blocking hits that do not come in directly.
sorry to come to the defense of sense, but do we know whether she ASKed that person to run the checkpoint?
and given the high security these days, and thus the 2 or 3 hours additional wait commercial jets over a chartered ones at an airport like that, not to mention the added security burden and time delay probably involved with bringing a US senator onto a commercial flight, it seems it might save everyone some time if she charted a flight rather than going public.
besides, would you want your loved ones sitting next to her on a pressurized plane?
i wonder just how many US senators fly private jets up and down the seabord.
Whew. Glad she is all right. Running over people is dangerous business....
I'm just glad that he didn't get any of his blood on her. They would have had to cut his head off and test him for rabies.
Your arguments are valid but not entirely sound. For my work , I fly commercially generally two to four times a week. It has never taken me more than 7 (seven) minutes to clear security. That includes metal detector, hard object detector, gas chromatograph sniffer and physical search of belongings. I fly Atlanta, Orlando, Dulles, La Guardia, Mexico City, Miami, Newark, etc.
I have also, on several occasions flown with members of the House and Senate. They board just like the rest of us. For what it's worth, Zell Miller flies coach, and Cynthia McKinney flies first class (but so did Newt ...).
The guard needed to do his job BY LAW. Whoever tried to breach security made an ILLEGAL chooice. AND one of poor judgement.
I know they can really make a large fender bender!
Hillery's car hits a cop, and the headline is that CLINTON is OK?
How about: "Cop's condition unknown after hit by Clinton"?
How did we miss : "Clinton OK after bombing aspirin factory" or "Clintons not harmed by Whitehouse vandalism"
Sheesh!
Probably the final payment of $10,000,000 from those convicted Rabbis that her husband pardoned!
Is this by chance the same channel 12 in New York that ordered the removal of American flags, lapel pins, etc. from employees and their work spaces? If so, that would explain the unbelievably liberal slant of this story.
