My Complete Whackjob Nutbag theory on white powders and anthrax
Fab

Posted on 10/12/2001 12:31:19 PM PDT by francisandbeans

OK, folks....I have posted this on a couple of threads....but someone suggested I make a thread of it...here it is:

The anthrax scares of the past 10 days has prompted many to ask questions.

Why would they target with an anthrax delivery device that won't kill a lot of people?
Why are they targeting the media?
Is this related to 9/11?
What's with all the white powder?

Let me lay out the theory:

The media is a target for a very specific reason. This prevents the government from covering up the details. This is why they went after the sensationalist media and why they went after a major broadcast network. The delivery system is designed not to maximize death, but to make us "anthrax aware"

Reportedly, the anthrax was mailed in a white powder. Along with the actual cases, we are finding cases of white powder mailings with no anthrax. Many have speculated that the white powder is done by sick pranksters. I think this is an impossibility. Let me explain...

We learned about the white powder on Monday evening (via Newsweek). Tuesday, we saw several packages and envelopes with white powder show up. It is nearly impossible for a prankster to gather themselves quickly enough to do it. There is a plan in action:

Part A:) mail out packages with anthrax contained in a white powder.
Part B:) mail out packages without anthrax, but with the white powder.

What does this do?

CDC has to investigate each of these powder instances. This will strecth thier resources. If enough actual anthrax envelopes are sent out, the US mail will be severly slowed or stop al together. This will have a massive effect on our psyche, our economy and our Law Enforcement community.

What they will do is play the Anthrax Russian Roulette with these packages until the fed decides to start issuing massive amounts of antibiotics to the populace...therfore reducing our supply.

Now, with antibiotics increasingly rare and the CDC and other departments stretched to thier limit...the terrorists are free to strike a full scale bio-attack and us unable to treat those infected.

...I wonder if dust masks can capture anthrax spores?

Not he usual sort of chief dust masks (they may catch a lot, but not all). Hepafilter N95 masks are probably sufficient- at least they are good for tuberculosis mycobacteria, which are roughly the same size. Also, the spores are probably NOT pure cultures- they are mixed with some carrier powder (Lactose? Cornstarch?)for disemination. The carrier powder is relatively easy to filter out.

BUT (and this is a BIG "but") unless you are wearing the mask at the time of exposure, and you carry out careful personal hygiene (especially handwashing!), there is really no point in bothering to buy any sort of mask.

I don't beleive that ALL the white powder envelopes that have been popping up NECESSARILY are dummies. I theorize that SOME have anthrax in them and that we are purposely not being told that they do for fear of a panic (worse than what we have now). The step grandaughter of Stevens said that the feds were playing down her step grandfather's ailment. AMI says that the locals were doing the same. The disclosure of the cases that have been confirmed have all been either late at night or on the weekend when people will not naturally hang around the water cooler to discuss it. The White Powder at NBC today was found to not have anthrax in it. That can't be true since the person contracted it. AMI now says that the stuff came in the mail. Mailroom employees were exposed. It doesn't make sense that ALL the other white powder cases are simply false alarms. SOME must also be legit. (Unless this is domestic terrorists we're talking about). Watch your TV news this weekend. I'm betting (and am more than willing to eat crow if I'm wrong) that there will be a lot of anthrax cases "diagnosed" this weekend in the same places that the "white powder" showed up this week. That way it'll give time for the population to get used to it before work starts Monday morning.

the terrorists will be attacking one of a host of other under-protected fear-generating spots

Antrax is a poor choice for a weapon of mass distruction. It has been used well in this situation as a weapon of mass hysteria.

If terrorists choose to kill a great number of people (and I'm not conviced that that is their goal), they will use an infectious disease -- like Small Pox. Small Pox is a CDC nightmare.

Small Pox vaccinations stopped many years ago. Most young people would be entirely unprotected. The medical community is unsure whether the vaccinated masses would be resistant to newer strains or even to the original strain. Not having the disease around for people to fight off has brought the efficacy of the vaccination into question.

Distribution of Small Pox would be easily accomplished, and would produce an pandemic.

They've been sending their kids to school here regularly for the last 40 years. They're bound to get a feel for it.

Man I am so disappointed in you. I was really looking forward to a great "whackjob nutbag" theory, and all I got was this rather reasonable speculation.

I'm heading over to one of those "David Rockefeller Rules the World for the Illuminati" threads. I'm sure they won't let me down.

I hate to burst your bubble beans, but you need to go up to the 30,000 foot level and get the big picture.

Do you really think postal workers will happily sort mail containing potential anthrax or even fake powder and then deliver it every day for the next 3 months without freaking out?

If we assume that CDC/FBI whoever decides white powder is a potential threat, they will figure out equipment, dogs, what have you to "sniff" every package, envelope, etc. at every postal collection station. If postal employees believe that there is a potential for antrax to be in the mail, they will demand to work in full body contamination suits to pick up the mail and sort it. I would expect nothing less of anyone.

OK, so we can say that if white powder envelopes are a threat, the internet email traffic will soon replace regular mail, which will grind to a halt. Therefore there will not be a need for massive use of antiboitics etc. The mail will not be delivered as you envision.

Sorry, but your theory doesn't pencil out by my way of thinking.

while you are there, can you see if any of these "in the know" folks can tell me what Rockerfeller has in store for my stock portfolio?

"What was available locally was packed up last week and sent to the CDC. Big Brother will make the determination who is and who is not treated." Precisely why incidents of this type will be down played. People might start wondering why the "common defense" part of the govt. bargain hasn't been tended to.

You know Loopy, I think something and ten minutes later, generally, you have posted it! This is precisely what I think they are doing. Baby stepping us to the brink...

Pretty logical, except I don't understand why they would not put the Anthrax in every package. I mean, they want to kill as many Americans as they can and frighten the rest of. If they can put Anthrax in some, why not all? That would create even more fear and terror.

If you are right (and I think you are) I actually take it as a good sign. If they had a truck load of anthrax spores then they would have dropped it over a major city with a crop duster. At the very least, they would not bother with fake powder envelopes - they would be mailing anthrax spores to all the media and governmental offices, national and local. The fact that they need to send out fake anthrax indicates to me that they have a very limited supply of the real stuff. At least, that's what I'm hoping.

I don't understand what you are saying...the stoppage of the mail is contained in the theory up there. Stoppage or slowdown of the mail has many desired effects. Death is not the goal in this phase. Panic and antibiotic distribution is.

I would like to know if there are any return addresses on these envelopes, and where they are postmarked from

Well, if they were smart AND cheap, the return address would be the same as the delivery address, so even if it got returned for insufficient postage, it would go to the proper destination.

The other day I heard Tommy Thomson(sp?)of HHS on FOXNEWS state that the gov't had enough Cipro for 200,000.

With the way the meds are being grabbed up, I wonder how true any number they give will be.

My guess would be in hopes of copycats. That and they want CDC chasing thier tail, and for the public to lose faith in thier ability to handle it. Anthrax is tough stuff to handle, my guess is that the anthrax is coming from one or two cell members and other members are mailing out the dummy packs to keep CDC on wild goose chases.
