Operation Tips

Operation TIPS - the Terrorist Information and Prevention System - will be a nationwide program giving millions of American truckers, letter carriers, train conductors, ship captains, utility employees, and others a formal way to report suspicious terrorist activity. ..notice that only men would be allowed to be armed, given the interpretation of the court in "In United States v. Miller":

"...It was upon this force that the States could rely for defense and securing of the laws, on a force that ``comprised all males physically capable of acting in concert for the common defense,'' who, ``when called for service . . . were expected to appear bearing arms supplied by themselves and of the kind in common use at the time."

When I was working on President Bush's campaign here locally, I manned the Pubbie booth at the local county fair. The thing that just amazed me was the number of people who came up and voiced their support for Bush over the gun issue!
Many said they had never supported a Republican before, but that they knew Gore would take away their guns.
This was not one or two people, it was many!
You are so right, the NRA helped put Bush in the White HOuse, that is for sure!
