While Bill Clinton's IRS pursued his personal enemies with great enthusiasm -- auditing Billy Dale, Gennifer Flowers, Paula Jones, Juanita Broaddrick and dozens more -- America's enemies, it seems, got a free pass from the same agency.
That's the claim from the legal watchdog group Judicial Watch, which has filed a complaint with IRS Commissioner, Clinton holdover Charles Rossotti, charging that Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda network, Hamas and others continue to use tax exempt U.S. based charities to bankroll terror unencumbered by even the hint of an audit.
At least 16 U.S.-based non-profit entities have been linked financially to bin Laden, the legal watchdog group says.
The decision not to investigate these groups is especially difficult to understand given that the information in the Judicial Watch complaint is hardly a state secret. On the contrary, the complaint is based largely on reports published over the last three years in venues like the New York Times.
One such questionable non-profit, the Islamic African Relief Agency (IARA), has been directly linked to earlier attacks on U.S. interests by bin Laden.
"IARA reportedly transferred money to Mercy International, another non-profit Muslim organization that purchased vehicles used by Osama bin Laden to bomb the U.S. embassies in both Kenya and Tanzania on August 8, 1998," the complaint notes.
Not only did Rossotti & Co. not investigate, that same year the Clinton State Department showered the IARA with $4.2 million in grants.
Other non-profits said by Judicial Watch to have ties to Hamas include:
The United Association for Studies and Research
Islamic Association for Palestine
North American Islamic Trust
The Islamic Relief Association
Muslim American Society
The Cultural Society
The Muslim Arab Youth Association
The Alaqsa Educational Fund
Council on American Islamic Relations
Islamic Society of North America
Islamic Circle of North America
American Middle Eastern League for Palestine >br>Quaranic Literacy Institute.
Though Judicial Watch doesn't say so, further investigation may lead to even closer to the Clintons' doorstep. For instance, Rossotti's decision to look the other way happens to coincide with a series of generous donations by Muslim non-profits to Hillary Clinton's Senate campaign?
In Boston -- the same city where two hijacked planes departed before slamming into the World Trade Center nearly two weeks ago -- Mrs. Clinton held a June 13, 2000 fund-raiser hosted by the American Muslim Alliance.
According to a report on the group's website, "The reception was attended by nearly 100 American Muslim leaders and activists."
As NewsMax.com reported at the time, candidate Clinton "clearly understood that her hosts were concerned that the U.S. war on terrorism might be too harsh."
In her speech, "Mrs. Clinton vowed to pursue fairness and justice in the issue of secret evidence and the Anti-Terrorism Act," the AMA Web site noted.
At the Boston event, the former first lady accepted a $1,000 contribution from Abdurahman Alamoudi, an official with the American Muslim Council who once vowed to eliminate Israel and had previously boasted, "We are the ones who went to the (Clinton) White House and defended what is called Hamas."
When Mrs. Clinton's campaign reported Alamoudi's American Muslim Council donation to the F.E.C., the AMC was camouflaged as the "American Museum Council."
Alamoudi had pledged his $1,000 at a fund-raiser held a month earlier at the Washington, D.C. mansion of Yasser Arafat crony Hani Masri -- a gathering Mrs. Clinton's campaign went to great lengths to conceal.
"The event, which sources said raised more than $50,000, was closed to the press, which wouldn't have known about the event anyway, since it wasn't listed on Mrs. Clinton's public schedule," the Jewish Forward reported at the time.
Sooner or later someone's bound to start asking: Was Mrs. Clinton's active fund-raising within the radical Islamic community behind the Clinton IRS's decision to take a pass on tax exempt groups with ties to terrorists?
I have decided that he either has a mental disorder, a tiny "package," a domineering wife or mother--well, you get the picture. The guy is not normal and can't have a normal relationship with a woman, so he beats up on all of us.
Thanks for your continued association with intelligent, normal women. We like you, too.
They studied our way of life, well...studied the infrastructures we have as close.
Studied the bastard Clinton even moreso.
Knew a few pieces of silver was all it'd take...
Just like the Chinese & God only knows who else.
This nation's in some dreadful, terrible peril & ALL because of this one, treasonsous bastard of a barfly drunk who seduced a woefully ignorant, gullible electorate all the way to the White House.
The Lamestream media will of course, remain silent & as such, complicitous coconspirators in what's happened here.
I've been stunned by the number of 'relief organizations'- legitimate or not -exploiting Afghanistan on the world stage. Plenty of folks have been raking in money and speaking to "important" international powerhouse groups like the UN, Carnegie Endowment for Int. Peace, Council on Foreign Relations, Congress, etc., etc...Afghanistan, the perfect photo-op to push leftist causes from gun control to equal rights, to atheism.
Yea.
Sure was a grandiose scheme, huh.
The deeper we dig, the more will be laid-bare for all to see.
This one has the potential to be some scandle; just one more sellout in a long string to be pinned to the chest of, "The most ethical administration in the nation's history" headed-up by the Greatest LIAR this nation's ever known.
The knee deep corruption has gummed-up the inner workings so bad, I don't know what's going to happen & what's worse?
The ignorant unwashed masses who'd put all their faith into the monster Clintigula?
FEW have a clue as to just what the hell ran 'em over.
Paaaaathetic.

My bad.
I thought we already knew the beginning and end of the money trail in the Loral case.
Wasn't it simply canpaign contributions in exchange for waivers? Or do you know about some other money?
I was under the impresion that the difficulty in the case was proving the quid-pro-quo, since Clinton was acting within his lawful powers when he permitted our technology to be sold to China.
You're welcome for the bump.
This was throughly discussed in one of the McAuliffe threads - I'll take a look there and bbl.
Yeah, but we won't keep quiet!
Now you on the other hand...
{BIG -G-}
Actually, ma'am, I jist met Achille, and all I know is he/she seems to be mistaken about his impression that the "Women's Vote" is somehow a bloc-vote. Similarly do I believe about the "Black Vote" and the "Hispanic Vote." Folks'r'folks...perhaps I feel similarly about certain issues my Welsh brethren deem important, on others, I am more inclined to agree with my German brethren, on still others, my French Descendants are more likely to be Right. Finally, I've got a bit of Injun in me...and that explains a lot.
"Thanks for your continued association with intelligent, normal women. We like you, too."
Kewl...the "intelligent, normal women" are always the most attractive anyway.
FReegards...MUD
With some folks, you need to wave yer "/Sarcasm" banner a bit louder...MUD
Who me? LOL! I recommended two family-friendly legacy mottos:
Speak loudly and carry a bent twig.
Speak loudly and carry a wet noodle.
Boring and not nearly as descriptive as abwehr's (^:
~It was. :o)
