IRVING, Tex., Sept. 14. Two Men with box cutters, hair dye and a large amount of cash who were seized by federal authorities on an Amtrack train in Fort Worth on Wednesday remained in custody today for immmigration violations, the Federal Bureau of Investigation said....
The authorities confirmed that the two men were flying to San Antonio from Newark when their plane made a stopover in St. Louis on Tuesday. After federal officials halted air traffic in response to Tuesday's hijackings, the men continued by train toward San Antonio until they were taken into custody during a routine drug patrol, officials said.
There probably are fleeing cowards in several places. Sounds like these two will have an interesting tale to tell.
There are good Spanish and Portuguese restaurants in the Ironbound district of Newart, near the railroad station. I don't know about Mexican, however.
With respect to the story, it does seem strange to me that they didn't hijack their Newark-to-San Antonio flight shortly out of Newark. Full of fuel then, like the other flights they seized.
Such is PC, we have to tippy-toe around to find out what is actually going on.
BTW I travel alot to Pacific Rim, one of my favroite places to seek out is KFC overseas, for some reason they can cook the chicken exactly like they do here in the USA.

They had $10,000 in cash on them. They gave false names and every question they answered was false. They were heading for San Antonio (which I understand was a major "wheel" in the drug distribution system out of Mexico - I DON'T expect any drug connection, though).
MAJOR news from the law enforcement was that the TIP that something was going down was an unauthorized phone call to Air Force One Tuesday morning just when Bush was heading back to D.C. The unauthorized caller (that in itself was a security violation) knew the code name for President Bush AND Air Force One! This is when they diverted to Barksdale A.F.B. and etc. The call occurred about the same time as the WTC events were unfolding.

Tightening up the chronology a bit, Pres. Bush made a brief statement in Florida around 9:30. In that statement, which I heard on C-SPAN, he said he was going back to Washington immediately, if I remember correctly. So any change in plans would have happened after that. That means the unauthorized call would have happened after Bush stepped up to the podium, very likely just around the time Air Force One was taking off from Florida. My guess is that the call was meant to divert Air Force One somehow, probably into some trap. It would be interesting to know precisely what the caller said.
Rosie O'Donut absorbs calories from the atmosphere, so the absence or presence of eating utensils makes no never mind.
However, the Spork will challenge Fatso to find new ways to absorb them there calories.
