My heart-felt prayers for the victims and families of this cowardly act.

Ordinary citizens offered condolences at American embassies around the world — Norwegians left bouquets of flowers in a park near the U.S. Embassy, Russians placed flowers near the Moscow mission and in Budapest, there were dozens of candles...In Berlin, hundreds of people marched silently down Unter den Linden boulevard at nightfall to a service at the city's main cathedral to mourn the victims.

That's really touching.

The rats are running for cover:

Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat offered his sympathy to Americans for the devastating attacks, which also hit the Pentagon.

Sheik Ahmed Yassin, whose Islamic militant Hamas group has carried out a series of suicide bombings in Israel, said he was not interested in exporting such attacks.

"We are not ready to move our struggle outside the occupied Palestinian land. We are not prepared to open international fronts, however much we criticize the unfair American position," Yassin told reporters in Gaza City.

Afghanistan's Taliban rulers condemned the attacks and rejected suggestions that suspected terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden, who has been given asylum in the country, could be behind them.

"It is premature to level allegations against a person who is not in a position to carry out such attacks," said Abdul Salam Zaeef, the Taliban ambassador in Pakistan. "It was a well-organized plan and Osama has no such facilities.''

President Gen. Pervez Musharraf of Pakistan, one of three countries that recognize the Taliban's government, condemned the attacks and called for cooperation to combat the "modern-day evil" of terrorism.

Leaders around the world — including most in the Middle East — offered messages of support.

If they attacked us now, we would kill them. It's that simple.

Arafat offers us his sympathy. But he allows the terrorists to roam uncontrolled through his territory while he has 60,000 "policemen" with automatic weapons. If he wanted to stop the terror, he could. He must be killed, like the rest of the Muslim Arab leaders. All of them, because they ALL have supported Muslim terrorism.

"Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad Mahathir expressed sadness, but urged the U.S. Government not to seek revenge.

I believe 'ol Mohamad is a Muslim.

If I were a cynic, I might surmise his statement was a bit self serving.

Oh wait.

I am a cynic!

Hard to believe but it can be worse: we can be witnessing our countrymen celebrating the killing of thousands of innocent Americans if we were living in some oppressed middle-eastern country suffering from barbarism and tyranny. As an American, I would mourn any loss of thousands of innocent people in a foreign land from terrorism. We are fortunate enough to be living in a land that tries to place human life in high regard in most respects.

Deny involvement, act horrified, and celebrate in the streets.

Too bad all these people didn't recognize their own part in what took place today. The entire world thumbing their nose at the US is what helped make this attack today possible.

I won't forget the part these people played in this.

Arafat says he is horrified; but does he mean it? His people are joyous to see thousands of innocent Americans die. Is Arafat out of tune with his people?

If Arafat is horrified, it is not because Americans have been slaughtered, but because he now fears that Americans will now understand what the Israelis are suffering -- if on a minor scale. When Americans understand what terror really is, will the arch-terrorist, Arafat, be invited to the White House?

I saw Arafat on CNN denying involvement. Why Yassir; you look as though someone just walked over your grave.

"....but Thousands of Palestinians Celebrate"

The medium is the message.

Swift, violent, accurate, precise and complete.

I don't suppose our congress would consider cutting off the aid money...Naw--we couldn't risk "offending" anyone. Better to sacrifice American lives than have CNN or the EU or the UN calling us names...

Expel the Gaza and West Bank civilian populations, into Egaypt and Jordan. Level the structures. Settle this now -- there will never be a more opportune moment in history, while the lines are so clearly drawn. Otherwise accept another 30 years of terrorist acts.

Well Mr. Bush, I voted for you and I supported you. Time to stand up for the American people. Take aim and the critics be damned. Iran and Iraq and Afganistan and sudan and Lybia.and all the others that support terrorism. Hit these bastards so hard that they fear the U.S. and its people. Make it not ever happen again. Show any weakness and you and the republican party and even America are dead. Be strong and understand that this is and should be war. It's got to be a bad time to be an Arab in America right now. Fine.
