12-year-old NW girl creates stunning art

BOISE - People across the world are willing to pay millions of dollars for the profound paintings of a 12-year-old Idaho girl.

Now, those internationally recognized paintings are on display in Boise.

At first glimpse, Akiane Kramarik looks just like any other 12-year-old.

“She's a girl with braces who likes many things that other girls like,” Akiane’s mother Foreli said.

But unlike most girls her age, Akiane is up at four each morning, so she can devout at least five hours to a gift – a gift that has led many to call her a prodigy.

Her parents first noticed her talent at four years old, and now her pieces fill a large warehouse.

She says God is her inspiration and each of the paintings holds a story full of wisdom far past her age.

Akiane described what inspired to her to create the painting at right.

“The real meaning behind this painting is whatever we are, we will still wither even if its in an expensive vase if we don't have light,” she said.

Psychiatrists that have spent time with Akiane can't explain why she is a linguistic genius. They call it a miracle.

Akiane’s mom recognizes her daughter's gift, but she also says it takes a lot of effort.

“People don't realize that there are three or four paintings beneath each of these paintings, that she has to, she doesn't like it, she works, she struggles, she cries, and it's blood and sweat in her paintings,” her mother said.

As for her poetry, Akiane and her mom say that part is effortless.

Akiane calls it a privilege to be regarded as a prodigy but she says everyone has a special gift.

But it takes only one look at this remarkable collection to see the gift she possesses.

Her art will be on display this Saturday through December 18 at 855 Broad Street in the 8th Street Marketplace.

No, but keep in mind she's not trying to persuade you.

I heard Jesus hangs out at the mall. Maybe that's where she saw him.

Can you, or anyone else, show me one website where she is shown actually painting in pictures or on video? I will believe it when i see it. How many "children" scams have we seen so far...with bizzare or greedy parents?

Maybe this girl is for real....but I have searched on the net and can not find one picture of her actually painting or someone having seen her paint besides her parents.

What I'm trying to say is, that's ok. It's ok that you haven't seen her doing that, and it's ok that you don't believe that she does. :)
If I cared enough, i could go get my friends on another forum who know her in person and have been to her home, presumably seen her paint. But i don't. So you can have your beliefs and I'll have mine. That's all i'm saying.

Your impression of the intended subject for that painting is correct. The painting is titled "The Prince of Peace" and was completed by Akiane Kramarik at age 8.

Some believe we have all seen the face of Christ before our birth on Earth, but perhaps Akiane has a better memory. :-)

So why is there NOT one Picture or video showing her paint???

Her parents are making a fortune on her "paintings"...if they are so Christian, why not donate ALL that money? I just don't trust when the Bandwagon starts to roll....just BECAUSE someone is Christian. Does not bode well for Christianity.

I'm afraid i don't get the connection. Because they are Christian, they should donate all this money they are supposedly raking in. Why? Is a workman not worthy of his hire? Maybe they are putting it away for her. We don't know. You haven't seen them raking it in, or spending it!
:D
Goodnight

If it's Boris Vallejo, those babies would be topless 25-year-olds and they'd have a pet dragon.

I'm throwing the BS flag.

Sorry.

There is a video on YouTube with that. I shall try to post the link to it, but I've never posted a link before so forgive me if it doesn't work out.

"I'm throwing the BS flag. Sorry."

I know nothing about Akiane Kramarik beyond what I've found on the web this evening for the first time. You won't get any informed argument from me for or against the authenticity of her talents in painting and poetry. However, I freely admit that I hope her purported gifts are legitimate.
