BOISE - People across the world are willing to pay millions of dollars for the profound paintings of a 12-year-old Idaho girl.
Now, those internationally recognized paintings are on display in Boise.
At first glimpse, Akiane Kramarik looks just like any other 12-year-old.
She's a girl with braces who likes many things that other girls like, Akianes mother Foreli said.
But unlike most girls her age, Akiane is up at four each morning, so she can devout at least five hours to a gift a gift that has led many to call her a prodigy.
Her parents first noticed her talent at four years old, and now her pieces fill a large warehouse.
She says God is her inspiration and each of the paintings holds a story full of wisdom far past her age.
Akiane described what inspired to her to create the painting at right.
The real meaning behind this painting is whatever we are, we will still wither even if its in an expensive vase if we don't have light, she said.
Psychiatrists that have spent time with Akiane can't explain why she is a linguistic genius. They call it a miracle.
Akianes mom recognizes her daughter's gift, but she also says it takes a lot of effort.
People don't realize that there are three or four paintings beneath each of these paintings, that she has to, she doesn't like it, she works, she struggles, she cries, and it's blood and sweat in her paintings, her mother said.
As for her poetry, Akiane and her mom say that part is effortless.
Akiane calls it a privilege to be regarded as a prodigy but she says everyone has a special gift.
But it takes only one look at this remarkable collection to see the gift she possesses.
Her art will be on display this Saturday through December 18 at 855 Broad Street in the 8th Street Marketplace.
I was a bit skeptical before visiting the link, but she seems quite gifted.
Very gifted child. Amazing artwork.
Spell check didn't catch this one, but someone should have. (Yes, I'm a spelling nazi)
it is. either she is an incredible prodigy or a horrible fraud. The art is unbelievable. The depth, color, light, shadows. Perspective. It isn't something many 12 yr. olds can accomplish.
NOT a prayer request ping...go to the link and view the slideshow!!!
Humbling. The eyes are remarkable. The scenes are super
natural. Love the fish kissing the cross. Goose bumps.
"Ask the beasts and they will teach, and the birds of the
air and they will tell you that God's hand is the life and
breath of every living thing." Job 12:7
Just call me cynical...but I am dubious of this...we have been scammed before.
bump 4 more pics of her art.....that is incredible blam
This is my personal favorite among the beautiful collection shown:
Oregon Ping?
It is a sign up site do you have a direct link that you wouldn't mind posting?
There was a TV interview with her two or three years ago, and she is the real deal...and a very natural young girl, at that. She has been given a wonderful gift by God, and I'm glad she is using it to glorify Him.
You need to sign up??? I didn't...!!
Right click the link in post #13 and hit Open...see if you can get in that way.
I agree.
Almost a Boris Vallejo quality to them. Makes me wonder...
I clicked on the nwcn link provided and it worked for me. There is a "slideshow" link on that page that also seems to work fine without any passwords or membership.
I know some homeschoolers that live near her and are friends of her family, she's for real.
