I own one and it never fails.

Mine has twin pistol grips so it is pretty "agressive" with 00 buck, but still easy to handle.

Let me see if I can find a picture!

For home defense I would recommend an M1 carbine with a couple of 30 round magazines. If someone wants to torch your car you can take him down from your porch without damaging the paint. They're antiques so you can buy them without paperwork and the wife and kids can handle them. (Just my opinion, others may differ)

That is an optical delusion.

That is really a keg of Sprite over a mile away!!!

Nailed it dead center and had to drink whiskey neat all night because of my awesome and uncanny accuracy!!!

LOL!!!

Ya know, I do notice something that is possibly a once in a lifetime capture. If I am seeing it right, there is a smudge half way between the barrel and the target...I'm wondering if that is the slug, or the shot... Or, am I supposed to be seeing that that way?

I own the 12 gauge defender and I outfitted both my sisters with 20 gauge defenders which will still do the trick. Price is right and Winchester is dependable. No problems here.

The rugged Defender 8-Shot features an eight-shot magazine capacity, 18" cylinder bore barrel, non-glare metal surfaces and a lightweight composite stock and forearm.

Wouldn't the magazine be over 19" long? What's the point of having a magazine longer than the barrel?

Nope, the magazine is not longer than the barrel. You have to figure that one round is in the reciever ready to feed in, plus you can have one in the barrel.

I'd figured the one in the pipe. On my Remington, the rearmmost round not in the pipe ends roughly below the end of the barrel. Is the Winchester different in that regard?

Looks photoshopped to me.

ditto to all the above posts.

The defender model is a good shotgun.

I've got one on back order. If you can find a new or slightly used one in a gun shop you better snap it up.

Ya know, I have only done it one time in my life...shoot skeet. I think it is skeet where you have five houses and five positions and as you switch to the next position the clay pigeon flies from an adjacent house?? Well, I was amazed at how slow a shot gun round is!!

If you do not know, or for others who do not know, skeet has five houses arranged in a half circle. comparing to a clock face, starting house is 3:00 next is 4:30, 6:00, 7:30 and last is 9:00. The "Slow" I am referring to is when you are at the 6:00 position, and the pigeon flies from the 9:00 house, you have to lead by about 4 FEET!!!. I remember at that time, how slow I thought that round was!

Now I know I could not run away from a shot aimed at me, and I know I would mostlikely acquire my target in shooting. I'm sure you can understand what I mean by "slow" in comparison...
