I live in a neighborhood with a large Muslim population. No loudspeakers here. The Muezzin just stands out on the avenue in front of the Mosque (a former movie theatre) and does his wailing.
Well New Yawkers are used to loud people, who talk a lot. :) But it is the loudspeaker thing that gets my goat. It bring back memories for me of Hiyakawa, who ripped out the wires of a loudspeaker in San Francisco, and earned himself a Senate seat doing it.
Why can't they just do a group call on thier cell phones. Sure, one or two of them may blow up, but at least Islam could crawl its way into this century.
