Remind me again what his production credits are.

He performed his duties as session musician and behind the scenes production artist.

As far as credits go I don't know,(other than "All American Boy") and perhaps this is reason for his not being listed.

As a musician goes, I guess he's just another Todd Rundgren, d@mn good, but not know for his behind the scenes talents which were rendered to other artists who filled the spot light.

Were did Norte Mexicanos acquire the love of the accordion? Is it an Old Country leftover?.............

German and Czechoslovakia settled in Texas of course. I think Northern Mexico too. Both used the accordian though IRRC it came more from the Czechs.

Accordion introduced by Czechoslovokian immigrants too who gravitated to the Texas area. Not just the Germans.

As someone who plays the accoustic classical guitar... Hey, I didn't know you played! I play a little accoustic spanish guitar, myself, but not much (I took a few lessons with Juan Serrano--ever heard of him?).

John Denver made the acoustic guitar look a lot easier to play than it really is. He's a legend.

And what about Chet Atkins!?! GOOOOLLY, that man could PLAY!

(I know, Denver and Atkins were not rock guitarists, but they were superb).

As far as rock/blues, the best blues guitarist I'm familiar with was Stevie Ray Vaughan--incredible.

What about BB King or Brian Setzer?
Because the list is for rock guitarists...that being said, your picks are good, but must include King Albert!

I just checked out your profile page. Cool. I love Psalm 40:1-3 (and the Maranatha song based on it). I think Stevie Ray Vaughan was incredible (I think he had the edge on Clapton).

Do you play guitar, too?

Thanks.

Yeah, I play a little. But I'm not even remotely in a league with those guys.

The same could be said for James Taylor. The guy is a tremendous acoustic guitarist--as good as anoyone on the scene today. But, of course, he's most known for his songwriting.

Ace Frehley? I'm a life-long Kiss fan, but come on! He ripped off most of his riffs from Townsend.

And Tony Iomi at No. 1??? Yngvie got MY vote for that spot.

Dave Mustaine of Megadeth could play circles around Hammett and Hetfield, in terms of both speed and melody. (RUST IN PEACE!)

Jimmy Page and Eddie Van Halen - yeah, their places are about right.

I'm glad to see Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman of SLAYER made the list - "Reign in Blood" is one of THE defining metal albums of all time, IMHO.

When did Vivian Campbell join Def Leppard??

I'm surprised that Alex Lifeson of Rush didn't get a higher rating.

Mantas of VENOM made the list, I'm happy to see. Talk about an under-rated band! I bought their "Resurrection" CD, and they have lost none of their thunder.

Nuno Bettencourt??? Talk about a has-been that was almost a never-was! LOL

There were a lot of them from obscure bands that I've never heard of, like some of the Nordic death-metal stuff. I assume that their vocalists have the old "Cookie Monster" delivery popular with that sub-genre.

LOL I can rant and rave about politics, but get me going about Metal, and I can go on for days and days!

I think Rick might have actually been the first Rock n' Roll child prodigy....did I hear that somewhere?

Remind me again what his production credits are.

Shawn Lane, on the road with Black Oak Arkansas at age 15.
