Glad to hear you’re still alive and kicking.

Thanks - and me too.
Is this to be used when joe turns off my electricity due some new mandate ???
Nice rant.
I just completed almost 7 weeks of radiation for OA exposure during my senior trip to SE Asia...it was paid for with Community Care through the VA. I think stories like this eventually gain enough traction and could affect they portfolio so that the politicians respond...case in point Community Care not something available a few years ago.
The VA is definitely not perfect, but anyone who has served knows the promises don’t match reality, although in my case, and I suspect many others, it has kept me alive for a lot longer than I would have been without them. As someone who has had relatives going back to WW2 and through the Persian Gulf with depression, I know it is real and unrecognized and for the most part undertreated.
There is a difference between clinical depression and being “depressed”.
I get “depressed” when I see the state of our country today,...when I look at the kids who have no idea how to survive in this world, when I see that they don’t recognize that they have an obligation and moral duty to serve their country whether in the armed forces or as a civilian, when I see people still believing politicians of whatever party can do something for the good of the country and not recognizing that they are only in it for their personal gain, when I recognize that my kids will never have the opportunities in life I had, will never have the pride of being an American when they were any other country in the world, we as a Country have lost our way and the generations behind us are incapable of regaining it..
Thank you for your service, and for all others on this thread. Your sacrifices are appreciated. Love and hugs.
