I remember reading where a guy was stopped for something and he said it was his Constitutional right and the cop responded that he’ll interpret the Constitution. I think it was either NJ or MO.

Judges in law courts do roughly the same thing. Tried to tell one that I had Constitutional rights and he interrupted to state that ‘Court will not entertain any Constitutional arguments in this case’. Been a few years so I am not certain as to the exact wording. Also said something about how The State has the right to regulate how any ‘rights’ can be exercised

Is that where the term coprophagia comes from?

Or, as in Columbine, they show up, hide behind their cars until the shooting stops and most of the wounded have bled to death, and only then charge in and take control of the situation.

Yeah. We should have told him, “Get lost, Fuzz.”
But he did his duty that day, and especially as there were others hurt besides me, I thank God for it.

The people here remember that well. Images of cops hiding behind their cars while shots are being fired. Not a brave soul among them, except I believe two who went in without “permission”.

"To Protect and To Serve"Look up Castle Rock v Gonzales. You ain't got no stinkin "property interest". "a well-established tradition of police discretion has long coexisted with apparently mandatory arrest statutes.". Or "to protect and serve if we f'n feel like it. The police---SERVPRO for the state.
