As for active duty paying part of their treatment and all of their families’ treatment, that’s one of the perks of making a career out of the military. In normal times I’d say Good luck meeting recruiting goals. But these are not normal times and the truth is they’ll just have to suck it up and take it. There are no jobs on the outside.
Speaking of perks, a company matching 401K contributions is part of one’s pay. Then all of a sudden the companies stop contributing. And there’s nothing you can do about.

My very liberal father who I have been complaining about for quite a while who is a Vietnam Vet and disabled, so he cannot work and relies on the VA for medicine just became a Republican about five minutes ago.

Yeah, because soldiers and families need one more thing on there mind besides road side bombs, mortars flying though roofs, possible deployments, and the hardships associated with being married to the military FIRST and your significant other second.
Now we can slow down and really determine if we can afford treatment for battle related injuries & PTSD.
If only a politician’s leg was broken every time they did something this asinine. We could pull the economy out of its slump through the manufacture of splints and crutches

Needless to say, today is the first time I have heard from the few Obama supporters in my office say “if this gets passed they will not continue to be a supporter”.

Everytime I read something like this I get an overwhelming urge to buy more ammo and Break-Free. So, Ocrumbo wants the vets to pay while human garbage that have never accomplished or contributed anything at all in their scum-sucking lives get the deluxe, on-the-house treatment. How far can good people be pushed before they man the barricades?
One of my young lib friends voted for O in part because she didn’t like McCain’s track record on veteran’s benefits, and thought O would be more likely to support veteran’s benefits.
