Our Mission: The FReeper Foxhole is dedicated to Veterans of our Nation's military forces and to others who are affected in their relationships with Veterans. In the FReeper Foxhole, Veterans or their family members should feel free to address their specific circumstances or whatever issues concern them in an atmosphere of peace, understanding, brotherhood and support. The FReeper Foxhole hopes to share with it's readers an open forum where we can learn about and discuss military history, military news and other topics of concern or interest to our readers be they Veteran's, Current Duty or anyone interested in what we have to offer. If the Foxhole makes someone appreciate, even a little, what others have sacrificed for us, then it has accomplished one of it's missions. We hope the Foxhole in some small way helps us to remember and honor those who came before us.

Thanks Alfa, what a wealth of history and culture for ONE bridge makeover. The Archangel anamorphic projection is incredible.
I hope to visit Wyoming one day . . . should the Lord tarry.
I've been reading about that storm . . . mercy! . . . perhaps a poem about "Old Man Winter on Steroids"? Naahhh! ;)
The picture you posted is on topic! ;)
Mayhaps, I'll be digging meself out!
I was thinking municipality, rather than a physical mountain, but even then it would be a Maryland-only thing at best. Lots of cities are split between one or more counties. (Atlanta 2, Dallas 3 or 4, (Actually quite common in the Dallas area- Richardson, Plano, Frisco, Grand Prairie, Sache, Wylie, Trophy Club, Rowlett, Seagoville are all multi-county.) )
Gickies
As in the stuff this guy eats.
He has a new computer game. Silent Hunter 3. Submarines. :-)

How true, and after work the pup expects at least an hour or more of hand to hand combat!
That is a cool bridge. Thanks for the link alfa6.

I have been missing you. Hope all is well.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Thanks to modern medical advances such as antibiotics, nasal spray, and Diet Coke, it has become routine for people in the civilized world to pass the age of 40, sometimes more than once. ~Dave Barry,

Inner Beauty
Read:
|
The tabernacle in the wilderness was a tent where the glory of God dwelt. The structure was made of badger skins and was plain on the outside. But inside it was exquisitely beautiful (Exodus 25-27).
We can compare the tabernacle with Jesus' human form. John said, "the Word became flesh and dwelt among us" (John 1:14). The word dwelt means He "pitched His tent with us," the same word that ancient Greek versions of the Old Testament used for the tabernacle.
Jesus looked like an ordinary man: He had "no beauty that we should desire Him" (Isaiah 53:2). No one gave Him a second look. Yet John "beheld His glory," the glory of God Himself. Occasionally, the tent flap was lifted and he caught a glimpse of Jesus' inner beauty and majesty.
We are tabernacles too, made of skin, made to contain God's Spirit. Most of us are very plain, not like the made-up actors we see in the movies or the air-brushed models we view in the ads. But God is even nowat this momentin the process of making us radiantly beautiful within.
We may be very plain and ordinary on the outsidebut as we allow God's Spirit to work within us, the beauty of God's indwelling presence will shine from our faces.
So, is the world seeing Jesus in you? David Roper
A righteous heart is the fountain of beauty.
Growing old is mandatory.....growing up is optional. We must stay in touch with our inner 8 year old
