I think Trump may have made that statement as the President as far as I know, it’s not under the President’s purview so to speak. Congress is still investigating Hill and I believe the FBI is still investigating the Clinton Foundation. If they find something, they’ll turn it over to the AG (Sessions, hopefully) who will make the decision to pursue or not. Given Sessions is all about following the law, if sufficient evidence is provided to him, he’ll follow through (unlike Lynch).
Since Congress only has a handful of days in session until the end of the year, I don’t think they’ll resume their committee investigations until after the 1st of Jan.
I wondered about this - I think he knows that she’s quite ill. How bad would it look if he goes after her bigly and she drops dead in the midst of it.

I don’t want Mitt for SoS either. Newt was on earlier and said he thought there were others that were more qualified and I agree - plus, some of the others that have been mentioned, such as Rudy and Bolton, weren’t backstabbers or tried to derail Trump’s campaign and win.
Mitt should have a big L for loser on his forehead.

Yes, those burgers were making me hungry. The closest Johnny Rockets to me is about 25 miles away - never been there but may have to try it. Couldn’t believe they were giving free hamburgers to the first 300 people on the Fox plaza this morning - that’s a lot of cooking and a lot of burgers!

I see you’re in Colorado. I lived there (Aurora, Englewood, Southeast Denver) for quite a few years before moving to Seattle some years ago. Was just there last summer for a visit and got to have breakfast with a great FReeper and his wife.

Hi there to a fellow Tar Heel. According to the news yesterday, Governor McCrory has called for a full recount of votes in the Governor’s race! That despite protesters outside of the Governor’s mansion with a moving van saying they want the Governor OUR of the mansion!
We moved to E. TN because it’s so much like W. NY but without the taxes. Gorgeous, with salt-of-the-earth people — also like W. NY.
