Ron Paul's presidential campaign is getting cash infusion today from grass roots activists on the internet. The activists plan to get 100,000 people to donate $100 each, boosting the campaign by 10 million dollars in a day.
Whether the goal of 10 million dollars in a day is achieved remains to be seen. The campaign as of 10 PM Sunday night had risen just under 2.8 million for the quarter.
As of Monday, 9:30 AM Eastern time, Pauls campaign has risen over a million dollars bringing the total to over 4.1 million for the quarter.
Pauls campaign raised over 5 million in the third quarter and had over 5 million cash on hand at the start of this quarter.
The one day fund raising push is already a success and it hasnt shown any signs of losing momentum. Pauls campaign had nothing to do with the grass roots effort which makes it even more impressive.
Ron Paul voted against the Iraq war and says he will bring the troops home immediately. Paul seeks to eliminate federal income taxes and wants to reform the monetary system by authorizing competing currencies backed by gold and silver.
Paul also voted against the Patriot Act and has been an outspoken defender of the Bill of Rights.
Fewer and fewer people are listening to the haters.
They’re going online where the ACTION is!
Times are changing....
That ticker just keeps on going!
Is it possible he’ll hit 8 million by noon tomorrow?
TEEHEE: "No matter what happens with Pauls campaign, there are a few million newly energized genies out of the bottle who are motivated to further the cause of individual freedom in this nation. Most rockin."
Exactly. Well put.
rineaux - me too!
Some how, some way, Soro’s name would be thrown into the mix. He must have paid everyday people to donate money to RP today. E3, the hating never stops.
I think that the people of this country are fed up with the clowns running in the two major political parties.
Slight correction, it’s only a one party system here at the very top. Most people are fed up with it. Just change those big dollars into wins starting in NH, Iowa and beyond!!!
Ron Paul is the only person running for president right now that I would even seriously consider voting for. I’m planning to make my donation (Lord willing) in December right before the first few primaries. And you can be dang sure I’m planning to vote for him in the primary on Super Tuesday too.
Sanford is a conservative-libertarian Governor of SC, perfect compliment to Paul. He's young too and has executive experience. He's very well-known I'm surprised you haven't heard of him. He once brought two piglets into the SC legislature because they were overspending.
We need to get Paul in there with his tough stance on certain issues, along with Huckabee with his ability to strongly sway Values Voters - and Hitlery wont stand a chance.
Huckabee adds nothing to the ticket, except for big-government nanny-statism & open borders, and he has ethics problems. Paul is personally a social conservative, so he has that base already in his pocket.
I’m noticing lots of Californians sending money in right now.
Do you think it could have anything to do with their wanting to do away with public schools over there?
Afterall, the governor just signed into law SB 777 where even kindergarteners will be force-fed positive portrayals of transvestites, transsexuals, homosexuals, etc.
Imagine helping your kid with THAT kind of homework....

TIME TO GET THE KIDS OUT OF PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND GET RON PAUL INTO THE WHITE HOUSE!!!!!
Time to recall Arnie like they did the nitwit Gray Davis. Arnie is too into Kennedy and the clan.
I'll vote for Paul in the primaries, but I'm also being realistic. My support for him is because he's moving the GOP back to its traditional roots and he's restoring the old Reagan coalition. Now his foreign policy does make me nervous though. I don't think we should pull out immediately from Iraq.
Thanks for your service and welcome to Free Republic, Izzy.
Good luck and God bless.
Ron Paul 2008
Theyre going online where the ACTION is!
Times are changing..
The lame stream media can no longer pick who will be the next President. Most of the people supporting Ron Paul don't even watch them. Yes, the action is indeed online. The MSM will soon realize they are irrelevant and powerless to push their agenda.
I’m partially with you on that, EEE.
Does Ron Paul realize that Islamic Fundies hate Christians and Jews, calling them infidels? They want us all dead because we don’t follow Islam and honor Allah.
I hear Paul say they’re upset because we’ve bothered their bee hive. Does he think we were supposed to do nothing when 911 happened?
That’s my main disconnect with Paul, but maybe I just haven’t heard him address that fully yet.
Let’s pray hard for that, ST. Good thoughts there.
Regardless of how unpopular the war is, until Iraq gets back on an even keel we need to stay there and clean up our mess.
My step-son just returned from his third tour over there with the Marines. He doesn’t want to go back and we here at home don’t want him over there either so we need to let the Iraqis run their own country. If they turn it back into another tyrannous hell-hole... Well, it’s their hole.
Three tours, God Bless him. Hope it works out for your step-son.
For example, in this online poll from a group that is not very hardcore, mainly SSPX and indult types, Ron Paul is polling 60%.
Among Sede Vacantists, from my own informal contacts, his backing is almost a perfect 100%.
The key to understanding this strong affinity for Ron Paul among this group is that those who appreciate the fact that one cannot alter the Faith also value that one must uphold the Constitution or else any concept of law or governance is meaningless.
In addition, the two abiding moral issues for traditional Roman Catholics are absolute anti-abortion as well as ending a never-ending series of wars entered into for unjust and untruthful reasons - in which our sons and daughters serve as cannon fodder to further the agenda of the neo-cons. Ron Paul is the only candidate who fulfills both of these moral necessities.
I think the elites are shaking over the power of the internet, since they thought they had locked things up with McCain-Feingold.
Now, if the 18-21yr old block votes, this nation may be rocked to its core and we might see a true 'glorious revoluton' for this nation.
