Ron Paul’s inclusive message attracting African American voters

Ron Paul’s inclusive message of peace, freedom, and prosperity may be attracting African American voters. According to this poll, Ron Paul leads his GOP opponents among black voters in general election contests.

In general election matches Paul loses among African American voters 60% to 33% against Hillary Clinton and loses 61% to 31% to Barack Obama.

In 2004 CNN exit polls show Bush receiving 11% of the African American vote in the general election against Kerry.

The averages of general election match up against either Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama are for Paul, Romney, McCain or Giuliani are, Ron Paul - 32%, Mitt Romney - 23.5%, John McCain - 20%, Rudy Giuliani - 16%.

If the polls are accurate it could mean that Ron Paul’s message that ‘Freedom unites people’ is working. Paul’s uncompromising defense of the Bill of Rights is making him a Civil Rights Leader in his own right. ("Ron Paul inspiring new Civil Rights movements")

The poll, if accurate, could also mean that Ron Paul’s message of ‘repealing the police state’ is resonating with African American voters.

Paul does appear to be a uniting political force attracting supporters at his events from all walks of life.

USA Daily does not encourage its readers to allow polls to influence their voting decisions in any way. They are too often inaccurate. This statement is not a comment on the poll in question just on polling in general. (Discuss the election on www.usadaily.net)

I heard from OPie and he has taken an unexpected 24-hour vacation from posting here.

I certainly hope not as a result of posting this thread or his support of Paul

good to hear from you - I will look up the article mentioned

Ron Paul has more than one supporter at McFredrepublic. We just don't see any point in arguing with a bunch of global interloper war mongering neo-cons who favor the IRS, UN and the Federal Reserve. The "noise" that you referred to is the sound of OP singlehandedly swatting flies.

How does the koolaid taste? Be careful of the jugs that smell like bitter almonds. Paul logic is full of that flavor.

Once they find out Stormfront is one of his major supporters, they will run for the hills. They just don’t know enough about him yet. (Either that or the Aryan-loving folk will be running.) I guess it is true what they say about politics making strange bedfellows.

I notice that Ron Paul has one supporter here, and that one supporter is responsible for 87% of the noise going on here.

Don't bet on it. There are many more of us silently admiring OP's guts, enthusiasm, and knowledge. He's the only one here posting substantive arguments.

All those opposed to RP are throwing out insults, innuendos, and Ad hominem attacks, without substantive contributions. OP has asked why you would "vote AGAINST a 100% Pro-Life, Pro-Gun Rights, Pro-Borders, Pro-Capitalism old-school Reagan Republican?" and none of you will present a single argument.

Carry on, OP you're fighting the good fight.

If we were talking about the save the humpback albino blind paraplegic ghecko, I could sign on to the deficiencies of single issues voters. This is national defense we’re talking about. If I’m going to go after Bush for not protecting our borders, I’m for sure going after Paul another aspect of national security.

As for your other comments I agree. Rudy is unacceptable to me. Romney is as well. I’m not signing on to any more RINOs.

You and I can agree on Paul about 99% of the time, that’s still not enough when it comes to national security. And I’m sorry this is the case.

Ron has ‘some’ valid points regarding our operation in Iraq. Unfortunately he extrapolates a universal picture from those points that I can’t buy into.

I appreciate the comments.

Because, as pointed out over and over and over, Paul is not a 100% Pro-Life, Pro-Gun Rights, Pro-Borders, Pro-Capitalism old-school Reagan Republican He is more like 75% pro-life, 80% pro-gun, 50% pro-borders, 90% pro-capitalism. If you put this record on anyone else, you would slap a RINO label on him quicker than Rudy puts on a wig.
