I wasn't calling you a hater. But you've been on enough of these threads to have seen and recognized the real Paul-haters here at FR.

>I don’t know about getting off on it, but he does seem to “lack” in the aggressively defending us department.<

I think you are talking about Bush. He’s the guy who get’s off on death and destruction. Spends 270 million a day doing it too and then leaves the frigging borders wide open! I swear, you must have your head so far up in the clouds that you cannot see reality.

Do you really think that because we are killing people in two foreign countries that we are fighting the war on terror here in America?

The war in Iraq and Afghanistan is making lots of American people rich, phyically crippling or killing American troops everyday and not doing a goddam thing to strengthen security in America.

What makes you think that the ragheads we are fighting overseas don’t have enough money to buy a plane ticket to America and continue fighting here if that was their intention?

'Expect a reshuffling of that order, replacing McCain with Paul during the Fox News debate in Orlando Florida this Sunday

If Fox doesn't, they become even more irrelevant than they already are becoming. I'm going to give Brit Hume credit and think he will give Dr. Paul more time than before to make his valid conservative points.

Unfortunately for the 'frontrunners', once this happens, we will see Dr. Paul's campaign donations and his standing in the poll continue to grow at a faster rate than before. Of course expect RudyTom McRomney to start parroting some of Dr. Paul's statements. Fortunately they won't understand what they're talking about (as it will be actual conservative thought) and they'll flub them. Huckabee is (and frankly always has been) irrelevant.

Hey is Carpetbagger Keyes going to be there? This may turn out to be quite funny television

Paul will bring out the crazy for the debate.

Going to be a good laugh.

First things first: How's that new job ("Dad") coming? Hope everything went well for you and the wife.

Second, sounds like lots of Republicans are "talking crazy" in light of the admission in the article that they're starting to echo Ron Paul's topics.

Just yesterday there was a thread about Romney questioning the value of the UN. Seems to me that the issue was a Ron Paul hot button topic.

If Ron Paul is against the war on terror, then he is for the terror.

He voted yes on going into Afghanistan. No questions asked.

He voted NO on Iraq because there was no constitutional declaration of war. A 'use of force' authorization is not a declaration of war- I dont care if Rush and Sean tell you otherwise.

First, there was a miscarriage.
She is fine and we are trying again though are sad over what happened.

Second, Paul talks the crazy. There are degrees of similarity at times to some of what Republicans and Paul say, but on some issues like war and such, he is a Democrat.

Most people who are not dictators, socialists, communists or jihadist would question the UN.

I heard George Putnam question them over a Decade before Rush, Ron Paul or other Republicans.
Probably Ron Paul got it from Putnam or Rush.

Are you SERIOUS??? Geez, how much dumber is this site getting? I'm against the War on Poverty, so I guess that means I'm for poverty. I'm against the War on Drugs, so I guess that means I'm for drugs. I'm against expanding SCHIP, because I hate children and want them to get no medical treatment. I also want them to be left behind, because I'm against No Child Left Behind.

Some people are so easily fooled by the government it's not even funny.

"RP growth would have to be 640% to be tied with RG. That hardly seems like front runner status."

You and I both know Ron Paul is not the front runner.

Thank Goodness we don't missunderstand each other!

Uh huh...

I guess we are not really killing jihadist over there then. I guess the cells they have busted and the others they are tracking here are just ploys for those waiting in the wings.

I guess all of us, including our host, are just big idiots...

You want the borders closed I am all for it, but perhaps your head is in the clouds(or else where) if you think that is al there is to it.

A missile is not going to come through a checkpoint, a container ship is not going to pull up at the border and wait to set off a weapon until after inspection.

And that is something Ron Paul wants to do little about other than ope a fleet of subs may do something.

BTW the "getting off on it" was something one of your Paul friends said in the post I replied too...

First, there was a miscarriage.
She is fine and we are trying again though are sad over what happened.

i'm very sorry to hear about that. Also glad to see that you two aren't letting it deter you.

Second, Paul talks the crazy. There are degrees of similarity at times to some of what Republicans and Paul say, but on some issues like war and such, he is a Democrat.

You don't recognise the fact that almost all of what Paul is saying have been traditional Republican positions. You may not be aware of the fact that just recently, one of our Mormon Freepers posted a writing from the late President of the LDS, and Former Secretary of Agriculture under Ike, Ezra Taft Benson. It looked as if it could have been a YouTube Ron Paul speech.

If anything, the Republican Leadership has deserted Republican values. Had the party held on to such values, i might be a Republican instead of a Libertarian.

Paul's view of the so-called 'war in Iraq' (you do realise that the war is actually over, don't you?) is an echo of 70% of the American people...according to the very same poll places that you claim are valid when they say that Ron Paul doesn't have a chance... Lots of those people are Republicans.

Most people who are not dictators, socialists, communists or jihadist would question the UN.

Agree, and Ron Paul has been the majour voice against our membership in the organisation...until Romney decided to cash in on the approval that Paul gets for his stand.

I heard George Putnam question them over a Decade before Rush, Ron Paul or other Republicans. Probably Ron Paul got it from Putnam or Rush.

By no means is Ron Paul first out the gate on this, you're right. In light of Ron Paul's life, it is likely that he has always held such a view, since UN membership is more often than not inconsistent with Libertarian thought and American Sovereignty.

I do NOT think any Republican have shied away from the responsibilities of war when needed.

Where in the heck do you get the idea that the USA runs wars by polls of what it’s 70% of people think, especially when they have been subjected to propaganda from the press and Democrats for over a couple of years?
Especially in the beginning, WW2 was very unpopular, so I guess that was also just as over...NOT!

We go with having a UN so there is at least some input into the world’s stupidity rather than outright having the whole world dictate we are criminals by the majority of it’s tyrants.

Libertarian politics can not survive in a populated civilization. It is far more suited to a small group on a island where you can do what you want to without effecting neighbors.

They're too quick to 'pull the trigger'...a bad failing for somebody who is supposed to form strategy.

Where in the heck do you get the idea that the USA runs wars by polls of what it’s 70% of people think, especially when they have been subjected to propaganda from the press and Democrats for over a couple of years?

Maybe because you have to consider the opinions of the people who...

  1. Have to do the fighting, bleeding and dying.
  2. end up PAYING for the whole thing.

i'm not willing to mortgage my children's future because George W. Bush wants to prove how much a man he is by getting Sadaam. Go sell silly to somebody else, like the Rudy supporters.

Especially in the beginning, WW2 was very unpopular, so I guess that was also just as over...NOT!

Yeah, it was so unpopular that TENS OF THOUSANDS OF MEN enlisted in the military the next day...including my Father...my Grandfather was already in the Navy at that time.

Sheesh! Learn some history, will ya?

We go with having a UN so there is at least some input into the world’s stupidity rather than outright having the whole world dictate we are criminals by the majority of it’s tyrants.

The UN is a huge irrelevancy. What the rest of the world thinks about us doesn't mean $#!t. Without US money, the UN doesn't have squat to say about anything, cause it probably doesn't exist.

Libertarian politics can not survive in a populated civilization. It is far more suited to a small group on a island where you can do what you want to without effecting neighbors.

Libertarian society is the only hope for this nation. The sooner the fasciast bastards in both parties learn this and embrace it, the sooner the country goes on to greater heights than it ever saw.

Of course, if the rest of them go the way of the Dodo bird, no great loss.

Just screaming that you deserve equal time does not make it so. Opinions are not facts. You should learn the difference.
