Hmm, I bet you thought you had left the Catholic Church all those years ago.

Christ died for all of mankind.Too bad your church is moving towards not telling the Jewish people this since, according to leaders in the RCC, the Jewish people are already in a saving covenant with God.
So if they are already in a saving covenant why do they need to know about Christ?

Catholic Discussion Ping! This article does not really offer much to discuss.
When I saw the subject heading, I expected an essay exploring in depth this fascinating topic.
I was very disappointed to discover that it was only a short news story reporting that somebody somewhere had spoken to some breakfast club on the topic, with a few vague brief glosses from the lecture.

O.K. I just thought it better I gave you an opposrtunity to take someone on in direct dialgue rather than issue cheap slams against another without her knowledge.

rather than issue cheap slams against another without her knowledge. Oh, please. I was pinged to this article, and I posted my response to it. Just like thousands of freepers do on hundreds of articles every day.
Do you think it was "slamming" her to suggest that perhaps she converted because she was dating (and eventually married) a Catholic? My guess would be that the majority of converts from one religion or denomination to another (say, from Catholic to Protestant, or vice versa) happen on this basis.

Sorry mate - news is a bit thin out there at the moment.
What do you fancy discussing today?

This supercessionist mindset rankles us "Jewish Jews", who feel quite complete as we are.Let it rankle: it's true.

After WWII the Chief Rabbi of Rome converted to Catholicism and he was the object of taunts, insults, belittlement, venomous hatred, ect by fellow Jews.
There is nothing new under the sun. There is a long history - beginning in the NT - of Jews throwing fellow Jews out of the Temple for accepting the Messiah
You refuse to even consider she converted for the reasons she said. You know her better than she knows herself.
I imagine her fulfillment in Christianity is a threat to some and some of them can't resist the cheap shot because antiChristianity is the most acceptable prejudice in America.

Christ died for all of mankind. Not just Catholics and Protestants. All of mankind! He did indeed, but he also said those who come to the Father through Him will attain the fullness of grace. I can only assume from that statement that He meant that those who accepted Him would see God in the way that God wants us to see him. Others who reject Jesus will not see God in that way, or may separate themselves from Him forever, which is NOT what God wants.

Its a free country. She is free to convert if she wishes. And so are the over 200,000 Americans who have found fulfillment in converting to Judaism.

Of course I am. And so are you. But I'm right.
To: A.J.Armitage
No, you're wrong, and I'm right.
See? An impasse is reached. Believe what you will.
Good day.
