Please freep the poll as a show of force against the sickos at the station who are asking people if Terri's feeding tube should be removed.

Thanks for your help. It is at the bottom right.

I'm voting for all those who are not able to speak for themselves or reach for a keyboard.

Yes you are!

Of course! To do otherwise, is to disenfranchise the minority population. So vote, and vote often.

I voted once, and thought about voting again, but then I remembered the DEMS, and what is the right thing to do.

I'm voting for all the homeless people in NYC who can't afford their own laptops, only their own cell phones.

About your post 305: Nothing like blabbing to the world that FReepers are being urged to load the poll results.

Brilliant tactic.

NOT.

mack....we gotta do what we can. :-)

It's the culture of death out there. And us.

I know your intentions are good, and applaud you for your effort.

But the win at all cost mind set...sometimes you win the battle but lose the war. Think about it.

Mack, there is no doubt that you have a point.

The only thing I could think of last night were the gut feelings of Terri's parents if they woke up today and found out that 90% of the voters thought their daughter should be dehydrated to death, a cruel, cruel sentence for anyone.

So I am in it for the battle.

EVERYONE,

TRY SeattleTiger's idea, from Post #110.

SeattleTiger's GREAT IDEA:
One reason it may not recognize you: the poll software uses your IP address to figure out if you have voted in the last hour. Most of the time, your IP address is randomly assigned each time you log on, unless you're among the relatively small minority who have a static IP address.
So, if you disconnect and then reconnect, you have another IP address and the poll software may not recognize you from your prior visit.

I tried it, and it WORKS!
I voted again right away.

This is what I did:

1. VOTE

2. DISCONNECT from the Internet. I have simple dial-up, 28K modem, with Earthlink as my service provider. I don't know if this works with cable modem, DSL, etc.
I didn't have to shut down my computer or anything. In fact, my Browser remained as an active application.

3. RECONNECT to the Internet.

4. Go to TBO.com and VOTE

5. Repeat Steps 2-4

DISCONNECT, RECONNECT, VOTE!

If this doesn't work, I have another plan that worked for me also. It's a little more cumbersome, but not too hard!

It's called freeping. There are two other freeps currently running in broad daylight on the news forum. The poll *tells* you to come back in one hour if you want to vote again.

Hi! I'm on dial up and all I have to do is disconnect, then log back onto my ISP and vote again. Granted, it takes a few minutes every time, but it's worth it.

If you are on a high speed cable connection, you probably have a static IP (but I don't really know!). I think some broadband users can change their IP somehow??

Anyway, that's how they're tracking votes. If you can change your IP, you can vote again!
