AAC AND CHRIST CHURCH ANNOUNCE LOCATION CHANGE FOR OCTOBER CONFERENCE Limit Lifted to Accommodate More Attendees; Registration Deadline Set for September 26
The Conference "A Place to Stand: Declaring, Preparing", originally slated for the Christ Church campus in Plano, Texas, will instead be held at the Wyndham Anatole Hotel in Dallas.
Christ Church will remain the host of this AAC-sponsored event. The dates and times - noon October 7 through noon October 9 - have not changed.
The deadline for registrations is Friday, September 26 and there will be no refunds for cancellations made after September 15, 2003.
Lodging/hotel reservations are still the responsibility of attendees.
Flight arrangements into the Dallas/Fort Worth area will not be impacted by the venue change, though attendees who have already made lodging arrangements in Plano may wish to switch to the Wyndham Anatole instead (about 35 minutes from Plano.) Shuttles and taxis from the airports are inexpensive and can be picked up without prior arrangement at the transport kiosk near baggage claim in each airport.
As our Official Headquarters Hotel, the Wyndham Anatole has given us a block of rooms at a discount. TO RECEIVE THIS SPECIAL GROUP RATE, YOU MUST IDENTIFY YOURSELF ON THE PHONE AS PART OF THE AAC OR AMERICAN ANGLICAN COUNCIL CONFERENCE.
Contact information for the Wyndham Anatole Hotel:

For room reservations call 214-761-7500, or 1-800-Wyndham (1-800-996-3426).
Attendees are asked to make their own travel and lodging arrangements.

Apparently there has been such a large response that Christ Church doesn't have any place big enough to hold everyone who is planning on being there.

Isn't "conservative Anglican" kind of an oxymoron?

Good question and the honest answer is no, not at all, but the rich leftists in North America and Great Britain really want everyone to believe that's the way it is. In all honesty the majority of the people in the Anglican Communion are in the Southern Hemisphere and they generally are very theologically conservative. In fact there are more Anglicans in Nigeria alone than there are in the US, UK, Canda, Australia, and New Zealand put together... and they're ALL conservative (and *they* average 90 percent plus attendance rates on Sunday morning, too!)

Good hotel and BIG. I recommend the restaurant in the tower. Very Pricey but good.

"Isn't "conservative Anglican" kind of an oxymoron?"
Not for my family. As others I've read have recently said, "We haven't left the church, the (U.S.) church has left us."
I am hopeful something constructive might come out of the upcoming meeting in England due to the conservative nature of the worldwide church, but I'm afraid that clashes with our priest over this issue are probably going to lead to our leaving our parish of many years.
