With all due respect to Protestant ministers who struggle with the entire concept of celibacy in ministry, what I like to most about this letter by St. Tereas of Calcutta is its simplicity, grace and the fact that it is motivated by love and respect for the Catholic priesthood. If the devolution of Christian society has any common denominator, it is snake oil salesmen within the ranks of all denominations offering 'modern' or 'educated' reasons for becoming a little less Christian in tradition, behavior, and practice.

Celibacy, if it is an aid to one's ministry, is helpful. If it is not, then it is a hindrance and can be detrimental.
As to the practice of celibacy, I prefer to take Christ's advice: "Let him accept it, who can."
