"Except of course for the parts about God choosing people, the parts about not being able to resist God's will, and God having absolute power over all creation, you have a point."

Those things, however, do not constitute a point.

It is clear from Scripture that God gives us the free will to choose good or evil, and that our salvation depends on our choice.

So we have Free will to choose so why evangelize? Why not let folks discover Jesus through their own free will since man is basically good in this twisted worldview. Why diminish God's sovereignity this way?

Show me free will, show me without twisting a passage where it says man has a will capable of, or desiring to "choose" God.

I in turn show you this, which is quite clear, it is God who chooses, not us:

Romans 8:33
Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.

Romans 9
18Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden. 19One of you will say to me: "Then why does God still blame us? For who resists his will?" 20But who are you, O man, to talk back to God? "Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, 'Why did you make me like this?' 21Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for noble purposes and some for common use?
"22What if God, choosing to show his wrath and make his power known, bore with great patience the objects of his wrath--prepared for destruction? 23What if he did this to make the riches of his glory known to the objects of his mercy, whom he prepared in advance for glory--
