I can think of a few dioceses that are probably in trouble. I find it stunning that Mahoney is still in charge in LA and hasn't been sacked considering some of the things he said. Three friends of mine and myself were driving down Friday for a Latin Mass in downtown Chicago, and we couldn't help but talk about Mahoney as an enemy of the Tridetine, but also an enemy of basic Church teaching. Boston might be a troubled diocese, but LA is run by someone of questionable merits. God Bless

I'm at the point where I don't think anyone has the guts to remove Mahony. He reminds me of Gray Davis. He probably has so many people blackmailed and vulnerable that they are more afraid of him than loyal to whoever requests his removal.
