It simply points out the fact that the fact sodomy is a sin is not a sufficient reason to criminalise it. And if you read the article closely, the author makes the case that sodomy is a crime against nature, and recognized as such by the original 13 states, not "just a sin". What about consensual sex with 12-year-olds? Should this not be criminalized? What about bigamy? What about bestiality? Should laws against these crimes be stricken down because of the privacy that protects these acts?

One can certainly make a case for criminalization. I never said anything to the contrary. What I said was that the fact that sodomy is a sin (or fornication or whatever) is not a reason sufficient by itself to criminalize the behavior.
