Can't disagree with you here.
On a recent thread two FReepers posted the numbers of vocations coming from parishes with 24/7 Adoration.
The numbers were astounding!

Powerful things happen during a Holy Hour in front of the Eucharist.
Praying for vocations will not, I think, be entirely without effect. And of course Maximillian is correct in his remarks as well.
However, I think altar girls, women lectors, and SSAD among priests also have a negative effect.
IMO, all three of us are on right tracks.
