~ PRAYER ~
St. Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle
Be our protection against the wickedness
and snares of the devil;
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and thou, O Prince of heavenly host,
by the power of God,
Thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits
who wander through the world for the ruin of souls.
Amen

Very sad that anyone would do this.
This is not a church recognized by the Diocese as far as I know.
Bishop Murphy only allows 2 Tridentine masses per month, and neither in a beautiful old style church like this one.

This is horrible.
This is perhaps the premier schismatic chapel on Long Island, with a large and devout congregation.
Whoever committed this sacrilege clearly did it as an act of hatred against the community: the pride and joy of the church - namely the Blessed Sacrament and the relic altar (which is more or less valueless to nayone but a traditionalist) were specifically desecrated and damaged on purpose.
Prayers of reparation.

What an ugly attack. Certainly not the first attack on the Mystical Body of Christ, almost certainly not the last.

Another sad bump. Hatred and evil will always rear their heads from time to time.

This sacrilege has been bothering me all day. I keep checking the local news to see if anything else is being written about it.
What's puzzling me the most is the fact that the altar was split down the middle. Wouldn't that take some sort of large tool to do that?
Weren't the old altars made out of marble?
This church has been in the middle of a controversy regarding their helping illegal alien day workers.

Our church, too, was vandlized this last weekend. Fire extinguisher poured forth everywhere. Wine all over the seats. Easter candle broken.
The thieves were mad because the moneys are now being handled differently and they were not able to steal the collection as they did as Christmas and Easter.
It's been a rough year.
