Why? Where did his faith come from?

1. The believing thief: Heard, then he was enlightened, then he believed, then he was saved.

2. The unbelieving thief: Heard, then he was enlightened, then he refused to believe, then he remained lost.

Could I have the scripture on what he heard..was what he heard different than what the other thief heard? Why did one believe and not the other? Could God have given the other thief enough Grace to believe?
