***My observation has been that he [P-Marlowe] understood LDS doctrine very poorly and I suspected that he either wasn't a Mormon very long or else didn't bother to learn much.***
Fine. Demonstrate that your observation has merits and is not just a cheap shot.
***When I graduated from college with a masters degree in engineering I had a professor tell me in an exit interview that I was possibly the smartest person who had ever been through their program. ***
I do not doubt this. Show us and P-Marlowe that Mormonism is credible. The Cordial Discussion awaits you.
All your fellow travellers have head for the hills.

WHAT'S THIS!
The LDS Church now is the sixth-largest religious body in the nation, with 4,224,026 members, inching just ahead of the the Presbyterians, with 3,141,566.

I guess I'd have to refer you back to my #26 on this thread. I've been participating in what you're suggesting for years now -- sometimes cordial and sometimes less cordial. But the end result is it doesn't accomplish anything. If I get more time I still may change my mind. For the next week or two I'm pretty busy.
