then Bishop Gregory is over due for a major paper roasting.I suspect he will never receive this. I believe he has been anointed by the kingmakers, or perhaps just by himself, and is working his way to bigger and better sees. I sometimes get the impression that the papers go out of their way to avoid bringing up any contradictions about the man, and strongly doubt they will roast him, at least in the short term. I may well judge him to harshly, I dont know, but I whenever I read of him I walk away with the firm impression of a man who tests the political winds long before making a moral stand. He makes these comments on the war after the bigs at the Vatican have spoken, and even then he makes these statements as head of the Bishops committee, seemingly only making these comments at the behest of other Bishops, giving him lots of wiggle room down the road, should the political winds change.
I would rather see someone who seemed more morally committed take one of the principle sees, and wonder if this can be fought. The last thing I think the Church needs is another seamless garment, Democrat coddling Bishop.

Sorry about the link. I mistakenly thought URLs were automatically detected. At least, that's what's advertised. My experience is that success in automatic urls is entirely random. Thanks for digging up the link.

You bet! Hubbard is our bishop here in the Albany diocese. He is responsible for unleashing Vosko on the world, after allowing him to reckovate many churches here.
Please help jog my memory and fill in the details here. At the USCCB meeting in Dallas, Hubbard stepped up to the mike. He had been selected by the most liberal element at the meeting to present their position. Does anyone have access to a transcript of his speech? Or, remember the gist of it?
