For all priests who have lost a love of humility and who disobey Church teaching
as taught by the Holy Father and Magisterium

For all bishops and priests who fail to show the compassion of Christ
to all sheep given to their care

3. THE NATIVITY
For all priests who no longer love God above all things

4. THE PRESENTATION IN THE TEMPLE
For all priests who do not possess a spirit of sacrifice

5. THE FINDING OF JESUS IN THE TEMPLE
For all priests who have lost zeal
for the glory of God

 

SORROWFUL MYSTERIES

1. THE AGONY IN THE GARDEN
For all priests who have abandoned Jesus, true God and true man,
especially Jesus truly present in the Blessed Sacrament

2. SCOURGING AT THE PILLAR
For all priests who commit sins of the flesh

3. CROWNING WITH THORNS
For all priests who promote false teachings,
especially heresies concerning the Real Presence

4. CARRYING OF THE CROSS
For all priests who are in the state of mortal sin,
especially sins against the Eucharist

5. THE CRUCIFIXION
For all priests who are close to dying in the state of mortal sin

 

GLORIOUS MYSTERIES

1. THE RESURRECTION
For all priests who have lost the faith

2. THE ASCENSION
For all priests who have lost hope
and live in anguish and spiritual loneliness

3. THE DESCENT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
For all priests who no longer use
the gifts of the Holy Spirit

4. THE ASSUMPTION
For all priests who are not preparing for a holy death

5. THE CORONOATION OF MARY AS QUEEN OF HEAVEN
For all priests who do not love Mary as their true Mother

Remember that we need to pray for the good priests also. In fact, due to the constant scorn they must endure, they probably need the prayers more than those priests who have fallen into sin.

A Prayer for Priests

Keep them, I pray Thee, dearest Lord,
Keep them, for they are Thine -
Thy priests whose lives burn out before
Thy consecrated shrine.
Keep them, for they are in the world.
Though from the world apart;
When earthly pleasures tempt, allure, -
Shelter them in Thy heart.

Keep them, and comfort them in hours
Of lonliness and pain,
When all their life of sacrifice
For souls seems but in vain.

Keep them, and O remember, Lord,
They have no one but Thee,
Yet they have only human hearts,
With human frailty.

Keep them as spotless as the Host,
That daily they caress;
Their every thought and word and deed,
Deign, dearest Lord, to bless.
