Catholic Answers and the Knights of Columbus are good sources of tracts explaining and illuminating our holy Apostolic Faith. If nothing else, some of them are good to have on hand if the Mormons, Adventists, et al. come calling. "Yes 'Elder' Jones I'll be happy to take one of yours if you take one of mine..."

Dear AB,

Some years ago, my realtor, an ardent then-Southern Baptist, invited me to her annual Christmas party. At the party was the pastor of her church, which was about half-way to becoming the mega-church it has since become.

She introduced me to the pastor, and a discussion ensued. After a bit, he graciously invited me to his church on whatever Sunday I could make it. I thanked him and told him that I'd be happy to, as soon as he could make it out to Mass with me. Conversation in the room came to a halt for a few moments.

I wasn't invited back to the party the following year.
