This statement sent up red flags when I first read the article. Anyone in this forum familiar with Fr. Sudac?

Yeah, that's a red flag statement. However, given that Father Sudac's words were translated, and then run through the editorial wringer at New York Magazine, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt for now.

Very good point Sinkspur..."He talks about himself too much. No saint does that."

There are many Drs at the Gemelli Clinic and some might be more in line with the dissenters for all we know.

Personally I'd rather go see Maria Esperanza down in Betania as she was very close to Padre Pio.

Necedah, WI was the site of a series of "apparitions" some years ago. I have a couple of friends who were involved. The seer was a woman who eventually began to behave like a dictator. The group "consecrated" their own bishop, I believe, and ordained a priest, as well as had at least one nun in a blue and white habit. Needless to say, it was condemned by the Church. The site is still there, and people still go by to look. But the seer has been dead for many years. There are still a few determined believers, though.

Thanks. BTW I ran the other names associated with this article through Google and they're all knee deep in Medjugore.

Maria Esperanza in Betania, Venezuela is as real a mystic as Padre Pio Santo. She is a devout woman of great integrity and a passionate love for the Most Holy Trinity, for Our Lord truly present in the Eucharist as well as for Our Lady.

My mother and father always urged us to stay away from apparitions without ecclesiastical approval or permission. My father would say that there was enough in the apparitions at Knock to inspire our contemplation for the rest of our lives. He and my mother said this also was true of the apparitions of Our Lady of Soufanieh in Syria.

I would love for Father Sudac to be a true mystic, but I only have a gut instinct that says "Keep your distance."

As Father Benedict Groeschel says, "If you want a miracle, go to Mass. If you want a message, read the Bible."

Well, I'd rather see Gloria Estefan, myself. The lady puts on quite a show.

Don't be afraid of sin! There is no sin!

I've got it. He's actually quoting a line from the film The Marix.

"There is no spoon"

That's what he was trying to say.

If he starts running on the ceiling, we'll know what's going on.

I followed the link posted by Siobhan, to Fr. Sudac's web site. There, I clicked on the link entitled:

When God calls you, how will you answer?

This was the answer. (I'm not making this up!)
