There are two kinds of atheists:
(1.) Those who believe there is no God because nobody has been able to convince them otherwise as yet.
(2.) Those who flat swear there is no God and have their minds firmly made up on the subject.
It is the latter version who is militant and trying the hardest to cause the most trouble, while the former merely wants to be left alone. Combined, they are STILL in the vast MINORITY and isn't the United States of America supposed to be about MAJORITY RULE?

isn't the United States of America supposed to be about MAJORITY RULE? Actually, America is about rights. The rights of individuals. The government exists to secure those rights. It is only on legitimate matters of government that majority rules. In areas where the government has no business, the majority can go pound sand.

This is kind of a dumb comment, were it true, Al Gore would be president having received a greater number of popular votes in the 2000 election.

...isn't the United States of America supposed to be about MAJORITY RULE? No, America is about rights that individuals have just by virtue of being human, independent of government, which government cannot take away from them, even if the majority thinks it should.

Nope. Our government was specifically designed to protect against the "tyranny of the majority."

isn't the United States of America supposed to be about MAJORITY RULE? Good lord, how did you ever find yourself on a conservative website?
