If you don't believe in God, you will NEVER believe anything He says, or did, or is able to do. In order to believe in Creationism, you have to believe in a Creator. If there is a Creator, then He created you, and you are answerable to Him.

I believe in God, and don't see evolution as incompatible with that belief.

Neither does the Pope nor the Catholic Church, for that matter. Two Popes have stated the official position of the Catholic Church is that the science of evolution is a potentially viable theory of which they do not object on any religious grounds.

I've been in that boat for many years now. I am a Christian, and I do not see any incompatibility either.

Has anyone addressed this aspect of the discussion, yet? I just got here and I find it somewhat difficult to peruse 1500 posts during my brief lunch break!

Biological macro-evolution is most certainly incompatible with Christianity. Any flavor of particles-to-people evolution involves innumerable instances of death before the sin of Adam. However, Scripture tells us that death is the result of sin. The theistic evolutionist has accepted a premise that is incorrect - that death is natural! Death is not natural. It is an unnatural enemy that has blanketed this world. It is such a powerful enemy that only God Himself, in the person of Jesus Christ, could defeat it. That is the reason for the bloody cross of Christ and His glorious resurrection - to defeat sin and the death that flowed from sin.

It is incompatible with the Biblical God.
