style='font-size: 14pt'>HOMOSEXUAL-PORN PRIESTS ATTACK POPE, RATZINGER

DALLAS, Texas, June 13, 2002 (LSN.ca) - Two Dallas-area priests who joined a homosexual pornographic website with naked pictures and discussion of sexual encounters with men and boys, endorsed attacks on Pope John Paul II and Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger, head of the Vatican's Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.

One of the priests, Fr. Cliff Garner, 36, described his passion for a young Latin American youth minister, and praised a liberal dissident homosexual South African auxiliary bishop, Reginald Cawcutt, for his attacks on Vatican authorities: "You are doing God's work," Garner claimed, "and because of that - you and the rest of us will be beaten and crucified - but we will rise!!!! Peace be with you!!" Father Garner's email was dated April 14, 2000 and released to the Washington Times by an orthodox Catholic who joined the website to keep tabs on the destructive dialogue. In a November 1999 message from Cape Town about "Ratzinger and other minor problems," Bishop Cawcutt wrote: "Hi guys, kill him? pray for him?" He earlier said of the pope's June 1999 visit to Poland: "Talking about the Vatican - JP is in Poland at the mo - mebbe he will die there? I shall listen to the news broadcasts in hope!"

Fr. Garner and fellow chat-group member Fr. Art Mallinson of Lancaster, Texas were allowed to continue at their parishes even though Bishop Joseph A. Galante and the diocese's chancellor, Mary Edlund, were told of their activities more than three years ago, according to documents obtained by the Times.

Ironically, Bishop Galante is now being offered to the media as a spokesman for the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops meeting in Dallas starting today. Galante, who refuses to crack down on the chat group -- accusing its exposer of "mortal sin" for invading the porn-group's privacy -- is even a canon lawyer and member of the bishops' Ad Hoc Committee on Sexual Abuse.

I read about these two last night. Do they really think they are being holy, faithful servants to God?

I think this is the St. Sebastian's Angels horror-site. rcf.org has it up again on their site -- warning: it is graphic and obscene in the extreme.

On a separate issue, Bishop Galante is a pig.

Does he not understand that the priesthood entails a celibate lifestyle with passion for Christ? Who let him in?

Bishops' Spokesman Shielded Gay Priests

I wrote Galante yesterday. I doubt I'll be getting a response from him.

Fr. Cliff Garner

Rev. Clifford Garner

Parochial Vicar

Fr. Cliff was born December 7, 1965 in Dallas. He grew up, however, in Houston and on his uncle's farm near Stephenville, Texas.   Born to a Baptist family, Cliff Garner was baptized in the Disciples Church when he was about 13 years old.  His faith was nurtured and formed by his grandparents and his uncle who lived in the West Central regions of Texas.   High school friends in Houston set an example for him, and he converted to Catholicism by age 18. In 1989, he entered Holy Trinity Seminary and received his BA in Psychology from the University of Dallas.   Fr. Cliff brings a background in counseling from his seminary and pastoral formation.
In 1994 Fr. Cliff was commissioned as a Naval Officer as he continued his formation at St. Mary's seminary in Houston.  Since his initial commissioning, "Chaplain" Garner served on board the Naval Training Center and The United States Marine Corps Recruit Depot, both located in San Diego.   After this experience, Chaplain Garner was certified by the US Marine Corps as a chaplain for USMC Field Expeditionary Skills.
This certification process took place at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Chaplain Garner graduated from the Naval Chaplain School in Newport, Rhode Island and then spent a short time with the Marine Drill Instructors on board the US Marine Corps Recruit Depot: Parris Island, South Carolina.
Fr. Cliff graduated from St. Mary's Seminary with a Master's degree in Divinity from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, TX. He was ordained May 22, 1999 by Bishop Grahmann at the Cathedral Santuario de Guadalupe. Fr. Cliff` enjoys being around a variety of people and as an extrovert, he is energized by friends and family. He enjoys working out, country music, and his dog which he calls "Gunny" named after the USMC Gunnery Sergeants whom he jokingly attributes the formation of his "pastoral skills"

Wonder if his mailbox is full yet.
