Our local efforts to "educate" Catholics here. (A local Catholic runs the statewide office of a huge billboard company. He built a new billboard from the ground up, just to hang this billboard so our local bishop could see it near his diocesan offices. Sometimes Catholic activism is downright fun ;-)

I just got off the phone with the webmaster who runs the www.diocesereport.com web site. He's a good friend, and I've known him a long time.

This is wonderful news. How sad that only the bad news reaches headlines.

In the bishops words:
"The Annual Catholic Appeal continues to be the primary source of revenue for numerous diocesan-sponsored ministries. The threat of withholding contributions to our 2002 campaign is disconcerting because of the effect it could needlessly have on the many people who depend on ministries such as Catholic Social Service, Family Life and Youth, Campus Ministry, and others." All the more reason to disentangle Catholic institutions from the bankrupting sodomy faction, the primary cause of the current problems and financial difficulties facing the Church in the U.S. As long as there is the appearance or even mere suspicion that Catholic funds are used to cover up sodomy or to fund the lifestyle of recreational homosexuals posing as priests, faithful, orthodox Catholics will continue to have reservations about their hard-earned dollars being so misused. The burden is upon the bishop to represent the Catholic faith clearly, emphatically, fully, completely, and without ambiguity or obnoxious liberal dissent. It is an abuse of a bishop's office if the institutions and symbols of the Church are used to advance liberal social engineering with regard to homosexuality. Any bishop or priest who has an inordinate, emotional, or irrational attachment to the homosexual agenda is unfit to exercise the duties of Catholic religious life and leadership. The Weakland episode was a prime example of a deranged liberal homosexual running riot over a diocese.

Any bishop or priest who has an inordinate, emotional, or irrational attachment to the homosexual agenda is unfit to exercise the duties of Catholic religious life and leadership. Amen!
Interestingly, we've been interviewing victims and any priests who will talk. Of approximately 90 priests in the diocese under Adamec, at least 19 are or were active homosexuals at some point after Holy Orders, and as usual, there are pederasts still serving.

Yes! (I just had a few T-shirts made up that say 'Proud Member of the "Catholic Taliban"' to hand out to our small band of merry men at Rose's talk. David Brown, clinical psychologist for our diocese mentioned in Rose's book, has publicly called us the "Catholic Taliban." We're going to have fun with that too, at his expense.)

"Of approximately 90 priests in the diocese under Adamec, at least 19 are or were active homosexuals at some point after Holy Orders, and as usual, there are pederasts still serving." Behind so much of this nonsense, sympathy for homosexuality (ergo: sodomy)keeps rearing its ugly head. With the Weakland silliness, one is compelled to conclude that his homosexuality had something to do with his obvious character disorder, his oppositional defiant behavior, the sort of in-your-face goofy liberalism which has become all too familiar. Milwaukee could have done just as well if Hillary Clinton had been the resident Archbishop. And that seems to be the direction the media would like to lead the Church in America.
Recently, at a parish where I attended Mass, they introduced a new seminarian. Poor guy. He didn't look gay at all but a tad nervous, shall we say. No wonder. It's just simply not charitable to the straight priests and seminarians that they are tarnished by this monstrous abomination. I can't really understand why "zero tolerance" is as controversial as it is being made out to be. Is it really unreasonable to require that priests make it through life without sodomizing a teenager? Most of the laymen I know have managed to do this. [sarcasm/irony alert]

Interestingly, we've been interviewing victims and any priests who will talk. What were your experiences getting priests to talk? Did any of the homosexuals talk to you? I'm assuming none of the pederasts did.

David Brown, clinical psychologist for our diocese mentioned in Rose's book I did not realize that --I hope someone's sending him an invitation -- or at least a notice. I'm sure he wouldn't want to miss it.

What were your experiences getting priests to talk? With only a very few exceptions, they are terrified of the bishop. He is vindictive, vicious and ruthless with any who oppose him. Retired priests rightfully fear him taking away their pension and health benefits. The one active priest who publicly opposes the bishop is being threatened with suspension of his priestly faculties.
One of the priests mentioned in Rose's book has had his faculties removed in the diocese where he grew up (he now serves in another diocese, but may not preach, teach, hear confessions or say public masses in his home diocese.) I was just told this yetsterday by another of the priests mentioned in Rose's book.
