While it is appropriate for us to feel pity for individual, innocent Palestinians, it is also appropriate to fault their leaders and those who support their self-destructive policies for totally failing those people who truly want peace.
Frankly I find that accusation unsupported by anything other than tautology and canard. I suppose you could argue that the young children killed by IDF soldiers when they botched an assasination attempt, were guilty of being put in harms way when their parents decided to drive their own cars.
Or perhaps the children killed when IDF forces straffed a playground with machine gun fire, were in "the wrong place at the wrong time" but frankly I find such cynical statements to be repugnant.
I am not saying that terrorists are justified. I'm simply saying that the level of hypocrisy when talking about the actions of Israel is simply astounding. This is a socialist country that seems to have little regard for the safety of it's own citizens much less any respect for those Palestinians who are non-combatants in this war. Such actions would tend to have the opposite affect intented.
Someone on another thread posted a nice graphic illustrating the situation. It had four items:

baby carriage |
Israeli soldier shooting leftward |
