JERUSALEM

While it is appropriate for us to feel pity for individual, innocent Palestinians, it is also appropriate to fault their leaders and those who support their self-destructive policies for totally failing those people who truly want peace.
"(The) Israelis understand my position. I've been very clear and there has been some progress, but it's now time to quit it altogether; it's time to end this," Bush said, making his second such appeal in two days.
The comments came one day after Bush's talks with Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, in which the two leaders discussed the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and its implications for US relations with Arab countries.
Absolutely not. Israel has strict gun control and allows nobody who isn't a part of the government class to keep weapons in their own homes. The deaths today could be attributed to Israel's insistence that the government is responsible for the safety of its citizens.
That lie you nitwit. Bush had nothing to do with this. Quit while you are behind.

sleeper account?
And the people murdered today were sleeping you fool. Killed in their sleep. No gun can save you if some lunatic attacks you in your sleep.
So the hell what? How much time does it take to put a bullet in the head of Arafat and end this thing? If all the Israelis are going to do is screw around with this guy then there are more important things to do. Why don't you hop a plane and to the deed yourself big man. Hell Arafat is surrounded and I am sure you could get a clean shot.
Actually, it's kinda late for you, I think :).
Frankly I find that accusation unsupported by anything other than tautology and canard. I suppose you could argue that the young children killed by IDF soldiers when they botched an assasination attempt, were guilty of being put in harms way when their parents decided to drive their own cars.
Or perhaps the children killed when IDF forces straffed a playground with machine gun fire, were in "the wrong place at the wrong time" but frankly I find such cynical statements to be repugnant.
I am not saying that terrorists are justified. I'm simply saying that the level of hypocrisy when talking about the actions of Israel is simply astounding. This is a socialist country that seems to have little regard for the safety of it's own citizens much less any respect for those Palestinians who are non-combatants in this war. Such actions would tend to have the opposite affect intented.
Israeli law requires that a person have a license in order to own any kind of firearm, but the license is readily available to any law-abiding adult who can show he or she has had firearms training.
What part of that is difficult for you to grasp...Dog?
Don't drag me into your fantasy world please.
I did. Since neither of you appear to be intellectually honest enough to acknowledge basic facts laid out therin or in the articles you yourself posted, it seems that you are wasting my time.
What part of ...Israeli law requires that a person have a license in order to own any kind of firearm, but the license is readily available to any law-abiding adult who can show he or she has had firearms training. ... is difficult for you to grasp. Aren't you ashamed to lie so boldly?
SO WHAT!!!!!!!!!! Generally in peace talks we work TOWARD PEACE, TOWARD CESSATION OF SHOOTING. There will be no peace until one side or the other stops shooting. You expect Bush to meet with the Saudis, listen to what they need for peace, then go tell Sharon - "GO GET 'EM BOY!!!!"? Just how does that start peace? We are there to SETTLE THE SITUATION DOWN - not inflame it because Saddam is stirring this up to prevent us going after him. He plans on getting nuclear weapons and his first target will be Israel. Do you want Israel blown off the map? Does that make you feel better?
Bush would not help any of us if Saddam is allowed to get the nuclear weapons. That is his job. He has said "I will not stand by and wait for an attack before I take action" (paraphrased). Bush is trying as hard as he can to go after Saddam - the battle between the Palestinians and the Israelis can wait a few months - they have been fighting for years. It is in the Israelis and our best interests to not let this drag on as Saddam wishes.
But, if you want a war here now - please don't come back and complain because Bush did nothing to prevent Saddam nuking us.
