The church and state line is often thrown out improperly. Thomas Jefferson was speaking about the state sanctioning of a particular denomination of Christian religion in his letter to the Danbury Baptists. (Like the church of England) It was not his intention to ban any discussion of God or religion or morality in the Government or in schools. He himself had Bibles printed by the government printing offices and given to the first public schools as 1 of two texts recommended by the government to be taught in school. This is a far cry from what is foisted off as separation of church and state by the liberals and libertarians among us. Without God and without morality there is no freedom nor should there be.
