🇺🇸Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem🇮🇱 (10/24/26)[Prayer]

Personalities

Psalm 62[a]

For the director of music. For Jeduthun. A psalm of David.

1  Truly my soul finds rest in God;

    my salvation comes from him.

2  Truly he is my rock and my salvation;

    he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.

3  How long will you assault me?

    Would all of you throw me down—

    this leaning wall, this tottering fence?

4  Surely they intend to topple me

    from my lofty place;

    they take delight in lies.

With their mouths they bless,

    but in their hearts they curse.[b]

5  Yes, my soul, find rest in God;

    my hope comes from him.

6  Truly he is my rock and my salvation;

    he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.

7  My salvation and my honor depend on God[c];

    he is my mighty rock, my refuge.

8  Trust in him at all times, you people;

    pour out your hearts to him,

    for God is our refuge.

9  Surely the lowborn are but a breath,

    the highborn are but a lie.

If weighed on a balance, they are nothing;

    together they are only a breath.

10  Do not trust in extortion

    or put vain hope in stolen goods;

though your riches increase,

    do not set your heart on them.

11  One thing God has spoken,

    two things I have heard:

“Power belongs to you, God,

12      and with you, Lord, is unfailing love”;

and, “You reward everyone

    according to what they have done.”

and Almighty!

You Alone Are Worthy of Worship!

For You Alone Are The Most High!

You Are The One True God

And The One Who Delivers Us from Our Enemies!

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.

This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.

Psalm 91

1 You who live in the shelter of the Most High,
who abide in the shadow of the Almighty,*
2 will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.’
3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
and from the deadly pestilence;
4 he will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
5 You will not fear the terror of the night,
or the arrow that flies by day,
6 or the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
or the destruction that wastes at noonday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only look with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 Because you have made the Lord your refuge,*
the Most High your dwelling-place,
10 no evil shall befall you,
no scourge come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.
12 On their hands they will bear you up,
so that you will not dash your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the adder,
the young lion and the serpent you will trample under foot.

14 Those who love me, I will deliver;
I will protect those who know my name.
15 When they call to me, I will answer them;
I will be with them in trouble,
I will rescue them and honour them.
16 With long life I will satisfy them,
and show them my salvation.

At our local Record Store, there worked a very nice man named Bobby. Bobby was what we would call "robust"; he was a big guy, and always had a smile. He also knew a lot about music and could discuss all kinds of music, from Classic Blues and Jazz to Heavy Metal.

A few months ago, Bobby disappeared from the store. When asked, the store owner told us that Bobby was very sick with a mysterious illness, and was in the hospital. My sister and I promised to pray for Bobby. But, months went by and he still wasn't in the store.

Finally, just last Wednesday, Bobby showed up at the store. His normally chocolate brown skin had an ashen pale color. He looked as though he had lost over 100 pounds. I didn't recognize him at first. I asked Bobby if he had ever gotten a diagnosis for whatever it was that attacked him. He answered without hesitation.

"Lyme's Disease."

Well, that struck fear into my heart. I hike in the woods all the time, and always check for ticks, but this was over-the-top!

The next night, I was typing on the computer, and I felt something on my throat. I grabbed a mirror, and saw a TICK right over my larynx, feasting away on my blood. I removed the tick and flushed it, and disinfected the bite. Of course I couldn't sleep. I tossed and turned all night, with the resolve to go to the URGENT CARE office that's associated with my Insurance (about twenty miles away) first thing in the morning.

The next morning (yesterday), I drove to the building, and the URGENT CARE was not there any more. So there was a whole medical facility, with nobody available to help me. I drove to another URGENT CARE (not on my insurance) and was given an enormous dose of Doxicyclene to kill the Lyme's Disease. The bit is still sore, and I need to watch it carefully. The antibiotic most likely has been killed, but there's still Anaplasmosis, Erhlichea, and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever to think about. Not to mention some things that I can't spell so I won't even try. Once again, my thoughts raced so much that I had trouble sleeping.

After what seemed like hours of sleepless fretting, I started to pray. I know I should have started sooner, because as soon as I ran to the Rock, I was able to fall asleep, and face another morning.

Psalm 62 is intensely personal, and yet can easily be applied to each one of us. In times of trouble, God is Our Fortress, Our Rock, and Our Comfort. The World should never cause us to lose sleep., but sometimes I forget, and have to remind myself.

I guess I'm only HUMAN!

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

For the Jews: And how from your childhood you have had a knowledge of and been acquainted with the sacred Writings, which are able to instruct you and give you the understanding for salvation which comes through faith in Christ Jesus [through the [a]leaning of the entire human personality on God in Christ Jesus in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness].2 Tim. 3:15 Father, bring those sacred writings to their remembrance.
