🇺🇸Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem🇮🇱 (10/10/26)[Prayer]

Personalities
Psalm 48[a]
A song. A psalm of the Sons of Korah.
1 Great is the Lord, and most worthy of praise,

in the city of our God, his holy mountain.
2Â Beautiful in its loftiness,

the joy of the whole earth,

like the heights of Zaphon[b] is Mount Zion,

the city of the Great King.
3Â God is in her citadels;

he has shown himself to be her fortress.
4Â When the kings joined forces,

    when they advanced together,
5Â they saw her and were astounded;

    they fled in terror.
6Â Trembling seized them there,

pain like that of a woman in labor.
7Â You destroyed them like ships of Tarshish

    shattered by an east wind.
8Â As we have heard,

    so we have seen

in the city of the Lord Almighty,

in the city of our God:

God makes her secure

    forever.[c]
9Â Within your temple, O God,

we meditate on your unfailing love.
10Â Like your name, O God,

    your praise reaches to the ends of the earth;

your right hand is filled with righteousness.
11Â Mount Zion rejoices,

the villages of Judah are glad

    because of your judgments.
12Â Walk about Zion, go around her,

    count her towers,
13Â consider well her ramparts,

    view her citadels,

that you may tell of them

    to the next generation.
14Â For this God is our God for ever and ever;

he will be our guide even to the end.
Footnotes:
* Psalm 48:1 In Hebrew texts 48:1-14 is numbered 48:2-15.
* Psalm 48:2 Zaphon was the most sacred mountain of the Canaanites.
Psalm 48:8 The Hebrew has Selah (a word of uncertain meaning) here.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father in Heaven,

Magnified and Sanctified is Your Most Holy Name!

We Come Into Your Presence

with Worship and Praise and Singing,

For You Alone Are Worthy,

You Alone Are LORD,

You Alone Are The Most High,

You Alone Are The One True God.
Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.
Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.
This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.
God Bless America.

I've shared this story more than once on this Thread, but recent events during the Jewish High Holidays may have changed the situation on the Temple Mount. For the first time in 2000 years, the Silver Trumpets described in the Book of Exodus were blown on the place where Solomon's Temple once stood. This is significant to both Christians and Jews, and VERY aggravating to the Muslim authorities who control the Temple Mount. I wonder if it's possible to "Walk The Ramparts" all the way around it now. The following was my own experience in 1984:
Our first day in Jerusalem was marred by my husband's bad reaction to something he ate. I think it was that snack place in Jericho. Not wanting my first day to be ruined, he suggested I walk over to the Central Bus Station nearby and go to the Old City by myself. That seemed like a perfectly reasonable thing to me, so I went by myself by Bus.
The Bus left me off at the Jaffa Gate and I immediately climbed the stairs to the ramparts and proceeded to walk all the way around the Old City. The views were spectacular! I was having the time of my life. I had nearly gotten all the way around when suddenly, the way was blocked by a gate and an ominous sign in French, Hebrew, and English. I don't remember the exact wording, but it went something like this:
STOP!
You Are Entering an Area Open Only To Moslems!
DO NOT GO ANY FURTHER!
It was the part of the rampart that enclosed the Temple Mount. I was furious. THIS WAS UNACCEPTABLE! I AM AN AMERICAN CITIZEN, and I am accustomed to my freedom! HOW DARE THEY!!!!!
Well, of course, I didn't want to cause an International Incident, and I was, after all, in a whole different part of the world, so I turned around and walked all the way back to the Jaffa Gate. It was the first time in my life I had been turned away from someplace because of my religion. (Although I have been denied accommodations because I am a Biker, in Upstate New Yawk no less! But that is another story.)
Little did I know at the time, that, by walking the ramparts of Jerusalem and gazing upon her towers and gates, I was living this Psalm. The beauty of her hills and valleys, the awesome towers and gates, and the churches and temples are all of earth, but the Heavenly Temple of The New Jerusalem is open to me because of The Blood of The Lamb. My own body is The Temple of The Holy Spirit, and NOBODY can put up a sign to keep me out.
I may venture to add:
Lately, there have been "SIGNS" on the Temple Mount that weren't put there by human beings, if you catch my drift.
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. (Mark 4:22)
God Bless America.
Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
Hallelujah and Amen

Amen to your prayer and word. Not sure where that is, I know there is a Muslim gate, very crowded, we went through that once without a problem, so that can’t be it. Certainly interesting the way things are working out, could be sped up soon.

The sign is up on the ramparts, past the Damascus Gate, deep in the Muslim Quarter, where tourists seldom go.
