A preacher at a radical church in NYC is going viral for all the wrong reasons. During the sermon “Father Flourish” stated that factually, God is non-binary and trans, Jesus is too. I give my comedic commentary along the way.

I doubt anyone expects God to be ‘binary.’ There is no female counterpart to God the Father. Given that what would there be to ‘trans’ between?
A consubstantial Trinity doesn’t allow for a ‘trans’ either but I’m going to guess this ‘church’ isn’t a ‘belief based’ church and she wasn’t talking about transubstantiation.
I spell “Sodomy” with a capital-S because it is the name of a religion.
An impossible to visualize concept that God is not an old man sitting on a throne as Alan Watts tried to explain.
Another New Age writer Shakti Gawain (late author of Creative Visualization) said she had draw back from her original manuscript wording of “he” and “his” when readers said their own dysfunctional childhood upbringings made the masculine wording upsetting to them.

Thus, God with no body cannot be “trans” or “gay” or “nonbinary”.

There are few tests for sanity in the ordination of clerics in most religions of the world. Strange heresies can creep in the dialogue once out of seminary, sometimes bordering on blasphemy.
And for every heresy or even blasphemy, there is an audience.
It’s worth repeating. 😆
I’d like to think “It would be nice to get back to a sane time before all this woke crap” but history is full of kooks and nuts like this going back at least 2,000 years.
I can’t wait to see God’s retort.
It’s not just the ‘it’ at the pulpit, it is every single person who didn’t immediately leave.
