1  I will exalt you, Lord,

    for you lifted me out of the depths

    and did not let my enemies gloat over me.

2  Lord my God, I called to you for help

    and you healed me.

3  You, Lord, brought me up from the realm of the dead;

    you spared me from going down to the pit.

4  Sing the praises of the Lord, you his faithful people

    praise his holy name.

5  For his anger lasts only a moment

It's almost 10:00AM and I JUST got my Wi-Fi Back online. Woo Hoo! Now I can get this Thread Rolling.

Some of you may remember a story I posted in this Thread, many years ago, about a dark spiritual experience I had while attempting to enter The Dome of the Rock on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Back in 1984 there weren't as many restrictions there as there are today, and I had free access to the building. It was pouring rain, and I had already removed my flip-flops to go through the door, and suddenly a dark, malevolent power (like a Force Field in a Sci-Fi movie) prevented me from entering. I put my flip-flops back on my feet, and told my husband we WEREN'T going in. I knew I might never get the opportunity again, but I just KNEW I shouldn't go through that door. There were two other times I felt that same spiritual force, and confirmed what I'd felt at that location.

Forty-Two years have passed since that day. Although my memory hasn't faded, my interpretation of the event was starting to change. Was it just my imagination? Did my own overactive sense of the "spiritual" prevent me from seeing the very rock where Abraham was to have sacrificed Isaac? Had I been afraid?

Just last night, I was randomly "doomscrolling" on You Tube, and I came across a video of a broadcaster/talkshow host (who happens to be a Mormon, so not even the same "religion" as I) telling the story of him experiencing the EXACT SAME "entity" in the exact same spot as I did 42 years ago. So I WASN'T imagining it! There's definitely "something" hanging around that spot.

Today's Psalm is about the dedication of the temple. We know that David didn't build the first Temple in Jerusalem. That ended up being the achievement of his son Solomon.

David did, however purchase the place on which the Temple would eventually stand. He negotiated payment for it, and the "Bill of Sale" is recorded in 2 Samuel 24. It contains all the requirements of a Real Estate Transaction, even by our current property laws.

David installed a tent on that location to house The Ark of the Covenant, based on the plan given by God to Moses in the Book of Exodus.

The site has been razed, burnt, rebuilt, torn down, conquered, and liberated too many times to count in 3000 years. Right now, Jews and Christians are allowed to visit, but not to pray there. While some prayer postures and actions are obvious, nobody can tell you what to think in your mind. I'm so glad that we have a God who hears our intimate, private, thoughts, addressed to Him in the Sanctuary of our Spirit.

The mid ‘90s i sat at the Wailing Wall and decided I didn’t want to ascend to the Temple Mount feeling somewhat unworthy.
Then I was approached by a Man with a Tall White Furry Hat telling me I couldn’t use a Pen to write a Post Card Home.

Amen to your word and prayer. I was also there about 30 years ago. We went into the mosques and saw the bullet holes and a bloodied shirt on display for a muslim ‘martyr’, that was dark. I did go into the Golden dome. It is built from the original tore down temple by Muhammad apparently. Very beautiful large marble columns but placed upside down. In the center was a wooden fence barrier around a the top of the mound where Abraham was to sacrifice Isaac, whom the Arabs believe was Ishmael. There was a curtained off area in the fence where the Muslims would reach into. I was curious, so I did it, which caused the Muslims to stare at me. They were touching the rock. BTW, that is not the only evil spot around that area, the black dome where the orthodox Catholics believe is were Jesus ascended was also very dark too, among others.

(This dome is on the Temple Mount and it venerated by Muslims, not Catholics. Jesus ascended from the Mount of Olives, not the Temple Mount. There is a structure on the Mount of Olives dedicated to Jesus’ Ascension, but it isn't the “Black Dome”)

The temple mount is going to be used again, that is why the empty flat area next to the Golden Dome is laying bare.That is the only place it is allowed to be built at. The mosques will be gone, and Jesus will enter through the eastern gate.
Parts of the temple mount are not dark, but you are right, presently the temple mount and Dome of the Rock or Golden Dome are being used by a False God. I made a mistake of calling the Church of the Holy Sepulchre the the black dome, it does have a black dome though. The Catholics believe that was Jesus tomb, it is very dark and gloomy inside, with black caped monks bowing before numerous icons. So ya, I didn’t like it. The garden tomb is much more beautiful.
