🇺🇸Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem🇮🇱 (9/18/26)[Prayer]

Personalities
Psalm 26
Of David.
1Â Vindicate me, Lord,
for I have led a blameless life;
have trusted in the Lord
and have not faltered.
2Â Test me, Lord, and try me,
examine my heart and my mind;
3Â for I have always been mindful of your unfailing love
and have lived in reliance on your faithfulness.
4Â I do not sit with the deceitful,
nor do I associate with hypocrites.
5Â I abhor the assembly of evildoers
and refuse to sit with the wicked.
6Â I wash my hands in innocence,
and go about your altar, Lord,
7Â proclaiming aloud your praise
and telling of all your wonderful deeds.
8Â Lord, I love the house where you live,
the place where your glory dwells.
9Â Do not take away my soul along with sinners,
my life with those who are bloodthirsty,
10Â in whose hands are wicked schemes,
whose right hands are full of bribes.
11Â I lead a blameless life;
deliver me and be merciful to me.
12Â My feet stand on level ground;
in the great congregation I will praise the Lord.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Oh LORD,

You are Forever Holy and Righteous.

Excellent is Your Name!
It is You Who Stretched out the Heavens,

it is You Who laid the Foundations of the Earth.

Alone Are Worthy of Praise,

You Alone Are The One True God.

Ancient of Days,

Rock of Ages,

Eternal, and Almighty,

We Can Do Nothing But

Fall On Our Faces Before You

in Endless Worship and Thanksgiving!
Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.
Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.
This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.
God Bless America.

The second to last petition of the Lord's Prayer (just before "Deliver Us From Evil") is "Lead us not into temptation." Lots of people, (including the late Pope Francis of the Catholic Church), have difficulty with that phrase, but say it anyway, because it's part of the prayer. We know in our hearts that God doesn't TEMPT anybody. Temptation is the work of the evil one. A Holy and Righteous God will not tempt you to do anything unholy or unrighteous.
So, what exactly does that line in the prayer mean. We say it all the time, but do we mean it?
While God doesn't tempt me, He sure does test me, and you too. It's never comfortable, but the test itself isn't the thing...it's how we respond to it that makes all the difference.
When God tested Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac, it was a Test, not a Temptation. Abraham responded with Faith and Obedience, and God provided a substitute. Abraham's Faith in the face of this difficult test was expressed twice on his way up the mountain.
The first was when he said to his servant "Stay here until WE come back." Abraham knew in his heart that Isaac wasn't going to die up on the mountain.
The second expression of Faith came when Isaac asked where the sacrificial animal was. Abraham's answer was a prophecy, not only of what was going to happen that day, but what would happen two millennia hence, on a hill called Calvary:
"God Will Provide The Lamb, My Son."
David may seem to be a little "full of himself" when he petitions God to test him. I always cringe a little when reading this Psalm, as David actually ASKS God to put him on trial.
Maybe David was being prophetic in this Psalm, anticipating the One Whom God would provide to be his Advocate and cover him with a Robe of Righteousness.
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. (Mark 4:22)
God Bless America.
Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Psalm 91
1 You who live in the shelter of the Most High,
who abide in the shadow of the Almighty,*
2 will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.’
3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
and from the deadly pestilence;
4 he will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
5 You will not fear the terror of the night,
or the arrow that flies by day,
6 or the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
or the destruction that wastes at noonday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only look with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 Because you have made the Lord your refuge,*
the Most High your dwelling-place,
10 no evil shall befall you,
no scourge come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.
12 On their hands they will bear you up,
so that you will not dash your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the adder,
the young lion and the serpent you will trample under foot.
14 Those who love me, I will deliver;
I will protect those who know my name.
15 When they call to me, I will answer them;
I will be with them in trouble,
I will rescue them and honour them.
16 With long life I will satisfy them,
and show them my salvation.
