Psalm 20[a]

For the director of music. A psalm of David.

1  May the Lord answer you when you are in distress;
    may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.

2  May he send you help from the sanctuary
    and grant you support from Zion.

3  May he remember all your sacrifices
    and accept your burnt offerings.[b]

4  May he give you the desire of your heart
    and make all your plans succeed.

5  May we shout for joy over your victory
    and lift up our banners in the name of our God.
May the Lord grant all your requests.

6  Now this I know:
    The Lord gives victory to his anointed.
He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary
    with the victorious power of his right hand.

7  Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
    but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.

8  They are brought to their knees and fall,
    but we rise up and stand firm.

9  Lord, give victory to the king!
    Answer us when we call!

My sister and I really like a particular Asian Restaurant here on the South Shore. It's prices are a little higher than average, but the Dining Room features White Tablecloths and uniformed Wait Staff with traditional aprons down to their knees. The Napkins are starched white linen, and it's worth the extra buck on every sushi roll to get that kind of Dining Experience. Needless to say, we don't go there as frequently as we'd like to, but we did visit last week (and it was, as usual, superb!). As I entered I saw the Hostess wearing a black Jersey with these words on it:

Well, of course, I voiced my approval, and my sister agreed.

Psalm 20 is often linked to actual physical battles in warfare, but St. Paul tells us that there are battles in the unseen world that we are engaged in every single day. The recent "Duct Tape Incident" on an American Airlines flight (Link to 12 minute Video)

However you feel about Jonathan Cahn's books or eschatology, there is no doubt about what HAPPENED on that flight. It was all over the NEWS and the Internet.

I may be late answering your posts today, as I'm switching over to a new computer. I want to thank everybody who posted on the Thread Yesterday, as my computer is on its last legs. I want to make the change while it still has life in it!
