One social media user advised that Bishop Ferreira ‘convert to Catholicism' after the prelate suggested the faithful should instead fight ‘homophobia,’ ‘femicide.’

A Brazilian bishop has attacked consecration to St. Michael the Archangel while suggesting that the devil is “rather imaginary.”
“Are there theological justifications for Consecration to Saint Michael? Consecration is to God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,” wrote Bishop Vicente Ferreira on X last week. “Isn’t the devil we fight against rather imaginary?” he added.
“The greater exorcism should be: of homophobia, of femicide, of racism, of crimes against indigenous peoples. Of that legion of evils,” he concluded, in a statement originally written in Portuguese.
The tweet appears to be aimed at another Brazilian bishop. On the same day as Ferreira’s statement, the archbishop of Montes Claros, José Carlos Campos, consecrated his archdiocese to St Michael.
Ferreira was slammed for his denigration of devotion to St. Michael, who is invoked for spiritual defense against the devil by Catholics because he was given power by God to cast the devil and his followers from Heaven.
“What is your religion? You should convert to Catholicism,” wrote one X user. “At your age, worrying about these woke idiocies isn’t going to get you to heaven. You should be concerned with saving your soul.”
One social media user remarked, “For this Bishop, the Church is not in communion with the saints; the Apostolic Nuncio should be aware of this Bishop’s posts. There are already 34 dioceses dedicated to Saint Michael the Archangel in Brazil.”
Ferreira’s claim that the “fight” against the devil is “imaginary” completely defies the Church’s tradition as conveyed through Scripture and Catholic doctrine. The heterodox bishop has also publicly claimed that there is a “biblical communism.”
Exorcist Father Chad Ripperger has advised invoking St. Michael for protection against demonic activity. In an interview with Tucker Carlson earlier this year, Ripperger recounted that he prayed to St. Michael for protection after he encountered a woman who he believed had attempted to curse him.
Dom Vicente Ferreira is bishop of the Diocese of Livramento de Nossa Senhora in the state of Bahia, Brazil.

That this barbarian is not immediately excommunicated is evidence on why the Catholic church is corrupt and beyond redemption. Kinda like evil arseholes who cling to the idea of voting for Democrats.
Who's "we", Kemosabe?
You're not fighting the devil, "bishop". You're doing the devil's work.
Pope Francis routinely referred to the devil in real terms during his papacy.
When men run a church instead of the Word of God and His Son, this is what you get.
The devil is real bishop, and he has you by the throat.

The devil is imaginary? Just look at the demoncRATic party.
That’s the truth. The greatest lie the devil ever conceived was convincing people he didn’t exist.
In September 2018, Pope Francis joked on a flight to Lithuania that "[John Paul II] was a saint, I am the devil."
(Uncle Teddie) McCarrick relayed this conversation with the Pope Francis, “I told the Pope that I guess the Lord still has some work for me to do.” The Pope responded to McCarrick, “But on the other hand, maybe the Devil did not have your accommodations ready.”
“The bad ones, they never die!” The pope teased McCarrick again when he saw him.”
Did he declare St. Michael imaginary? God?
I suspect his bishopric and grounding in theology may be imaginary.
The crisis within the Church continues to grow
The laity endures more confusion n absorbs more abuse of senses.
“Consecration is to God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,” wrote Bishop Vicente Ferreira on X last week. “Isn’t the devil we fight against rather imaginary?” he added. For being imaginary padre? The stuff that has gone on in the world?

Thus proving.... that Ferreira’s belief in God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit is “rather imaginary”. Either... he doesn’t believe in God at all and is just pretending... or he is working for Satan. It can’t be both... because to believe in God you’d have to believe in God’s word, the Bible.
Either way, it serves Satan’s agenda perfectly. And funny... how they always seem to mention and denigrate “homophobia”... as if it’s the least damning sin and as if anyone not ‘pro-gay’ is the sinner and in the wrong. And that ‘racism and crimes against indigenous peoples’ is just further divisive rhetoric... that these cretins so love to spout to create division. The very opposite of what they, as real Christians, should be doing.
By their fruits (and words)... ye shall know them.
